An entirely random note, but I'm surprised I've never heard anyone comment on Britney's initials. Some might argue they describe her music. And I as just starting to like you from the Milian Thread >:(

Didn't Jive put 7 million dollars into the promotion/success of MP?! I thought I heard they spent 7 million making the music video, promoting the single at radio and promoting Britney as an artist. Maybe not. If they did, they sure wasted alot of money. But I blame Britney to some extent, she hasn't done promotion for over 6 months now. 7 Million? Uh, no. Some teeny probably made that up. And promotion costs money. It's not necessarily Britney's decision to promote an album. I doubt she even had much say in this album being released, considering it was probably part of her original contract, like the Backstreet Boys.

Her audience dropped this week though-it would suck if she did not even debut and peaked at #1 on the bubbling under chart. Didnt another one of her singles do that?

We've seen in the past that couple flop singles in a row and some criticism has never stopped her. Why would it start to now?

I have a gut feeling that this song might rebound. Although it has a small +100 gain today, by this time next week I predict a +500 gain. It's just a gut feeling. I think Jive will jump on this song, making it a sure success. Just a prediction. I still say top 15 for the song.

Seems like they would payola the hell outta this song...

See what happens when you TRY to redo a song that was a MASTERPICE the first time around, and was/is MILES better than ANYTHING she's ever done?

I guess radio is all Britney'D out! I thought if Usher can have 4 mega-hits in 2004, so can Britney, but I guess she can't! By the time her album is released "My Prerogative" will be off the charts. I hope her album still sells a whole bunch!

Somebody call Bobby Brown and get him on a remix ASAP! That'll be enough to push it at least to #20...

Im sure this wouldve made at least top 20 if Britney had promoted it. She couldve just called a few stations, did one performance, anything...

MP failed to debut on the new Hot 100. Chris Hahaha. Jive don't care about this song, or her, anymore. She doesn't care about her career. The public don't care about her career. She's finished.

I still think MP will recover. Jive can't waste all this money for nothing. It's gonna be interesting to see how MP GHs sells first week. I say 250k.

Britney has finally crossed that imaginary line from young mystical ingenue to mortal, talentless, married, trashy white "woman". The sound you hear is Britneys bankability as a pop star, spokesperson, and object of adoration for millions crashing down into the abyss of joke butts and obscurity. She could still save herself but it would take one hell of a PR stunt - won't happen. She'll always be an interesting novelty to keep an eye on but she has no other show biz skills to tread on and the "I'm a slave for U" days are now uncomfortable, cringe worthy, "move on" time for her legions, and trailer park reality for Mrs Fedderline. And besides.....I heard dumbazz Kevin hates Pepsi.

Every single one of the songs from 'Britney' performed the same way as this song. It's nothing new for her.
