Anyone knows when the video will come? Well if the video for 'Tilt Ya Head Back' is any indication, about 2 weeks after it peaks.

If I were them I wouldn't even waste the money and put out a video. They already have/will have the #1 song in the country.
Thanks, Ben

If they want to release this song in Europe they will probably need a video for it.

Billboard's Mainstream Top 40 and Rhythmic Top 40 charts started in late 1992 (November I think?). They were used as a launching pad for Billboard's sister publication Airplay Monitor. AT40 with Shadoe Stevens used the Mainstream Top 40 chart from January 1993 to January 1995. Yes, you're correct the Top 40 Tracks chart (a combination of Mainstream, Rhythmic, and Adult Top 40) began around the time of the last major Hot 100 revamp in late 1998. Is the "Mainstream Top 40" chart actually published in Billboard?Β I know for a time it was, then there was just "Adult Top 40", and I thought at some point they began running the "Mainstream Top 40" chart again?Β Was that in 1998 as well?Β I haven't gotten my hands on a Billboard in a long time.

They will put a video out, I'm pretty sure. I can just picture it though...Nelly sitting on the hood of his Ferrari and Tim McGraw playin the guitar, sitting in a tree in the background LOL.
But obviously the video probably won't be out for a while yet, I don't think they've even shot it. I'd say the video will be out in mid-November, at the earliest.

I know the Mainstream chart was published in Billboard from the chart's inception through early 1995... I think it was only available in Airplay Monitor after that point. I haven't seen a print copy of Billboard for almost two years, but at that time the Mainstream chart still wasn't published in that mag. May be different now (since they added it to the website).

Billboard has changed their chart medthodolgy so many times over the years, that the records for items such as 'fastest rise to #1', or 'most consecutive weeks having a song on either AT 40 or BB's Hot 100' would have to be split according to which era you're considering.
'Can't Buy Me Love' by the Beatles went from #27 to #1 in two weeks in 1964.
Lots of songs have needed no more than 3 weeks (Hey Jude) or 4 weeks (We Are The World) to hit #1, so it depends on where you choose to draw the line regarding the numerous changes, loopholes & inconsistemces in BB's chart medthodology over the past four decades.

Here's some of the chart records "Over and Over" broke in Billboard this week:
November 06, 2004 Singles Minded: Nelly, McGraw Set Records 'Over And Over'
BY SILVIO PIETROLUONGO, MINAL PATEL, WADE JESSEN
Nelly and Tim McGraw take over the No. 1 slot on the Mainstream Top 40 chart with "Over and Over," setting multiple records in the process.
With a jump of 7-1, the track makes the biggest leap to the top in the history of the chart, surpassing the 6-1 jumps "I Swear" by All-4-One made in May 1994 and "I'll Be There for You" by the Rembrandts made in June 1995.
"Over" also collects the largest spin increase at the format for a song at No. 1 with a gain of 1,783 detections. That shatters the record Alicia Keys' "Fallin' " set in September 2001 when it improved by 1,236 spins and moved 2-1.
In its fourth week on the chart, the track's ascent matches the quickest climb to No. 1 at Mainstream Top 40 that Mariah Carey's "Dreamlover" set in September 1993 and equaled by "I'll Be There for You."
Nelly now ups his career No. 1 total at Mainstream Top 40 to four (see Chart Beat, page 61) while McGraw scores with his first appearance on the chart.
"Over" also moves 8-5 on The Billboard Hot 100 with the second-largest gain on the chart (up 18.3 million listener impressions) while debuting on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks at No. 67. McGraw now joins a very short list of artists who have placed songs on the country and R&B/hip-hop charts.November 06, 2004
Chart Beat: U2's Dizzying Heights BY FRED BRONSON
'OVER' AND 'OVER': Tim McGraw makes chart news on more than one front. "Over and Over" (Curb/Derrty), the song he recorded with Nelly, debuts at No. 67 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks. That makes McGraw the only country artist to appear on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop list in modern times. Conway Twitty placed three songs on the survey between 1958 and 1960, though he was still considered a pop artist at the time.
On The Billboard Hot 100, "Over and Over" advances 8-5, giving McGraw the highest-ranking title of his career. His previous best on this chart was the No. 7 posting of "It's Your Love," recorded with wife Faith Hill, in July 1997.
"Over and Over" jumps 7-1 on the Mainstream Top 40 chart (see Singles Minded, page 68), making McGraw the first country performer to top this list. "Over" is the fourth Mainstream Top 40 No. 1 for Nelly, making him the male artist with the most chart-toppers and tying him with Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, Avril Lavigne, Jennifer Lopez and Alanis Morissette for having the most No. 1s at this format.

Just curious, as this was before the chart was published in BB....what position did "you're still the one" make on the top 40 tracks?

"You're Still The One" peaked at No. 3 on Billboard's Mainstream Top 40 chart while LeAnn peaked at No. 4 w/ "How Do I Live".

His chart may be way behind, but Rick Dees mentioned it made the biggest jump of the week. Up 11 to #9 this week on the Weekly Top 40.

I caught parts of it...it seemed boring...some looked like video footage but I could be wrong
I dont think it had/has a plot..there's no main video hoe who Nelly is longing for or anything...I think at one point it showed his kids in a car waving bye to him or something and Tim McGraw was sitting in a car outside on the street while Nelly sang in front of his porch LOL probably the same house they shot Na Na Na in front of. Probably did it all at once, too. Na Na Na during the day and O&O at night.
Its just them singing, I think...I saw an airport at one point...I'll have to see it again but I didnt think the video had anything to do with the song

Awesomely bad video... It's like they are longing for each other and take off in a plane to go see each other. If it wasn't for the 2 pictures I'd think it was an odd love affair. Also what was so special about the video that it took so long? It's not like they were even in the same state when they shot it.

'OVER' AND OUT: "Over And Over" (Curb/Derrty) by Nelly featuring Tim McGraw ends its No. 1 reign on Billboard's Mainstream Top 40 chart after 11 weeks, putting the track in a four-way tie for the second longest running No. 1 in the history of the survey.
"Over" shares the honor with "Torn" by Natalie Imbruglia (1998), "One Sweet Day" by Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men (1996) and "I Love You Always and Forever" (1996) by Donna Lewis. Only "The Sign" by Ace Of Base, with 14 weeks on top in 1994, has lasted longer at No. 1.

I kinda like the video. Pretty clever how they are both going through the exact same thing.

This song was/is way overplayed. Thankfully, it's out of the top spot. (And soon, out of the top 3, as Ciara will show no mercy! )

When they use the term 'in the history of the survey', that is VERY misdleading.
They shouldn't go back any farther than 1991 or 1992, or whenever it was the BB RADICALLY overhauled their chart methodology.

Well, the Mainstream Top 40 chart has only been around since late 1992, so the "history of the survey" only encompasses most of the monitored airplay era anyway.
