It`s perfect he`ll put into it not only the singles along with the new tracks, but also other tracks. I`ve always found the idea of releasing only your singles as greatest hits totally boring.

Nice little cash grabbing attempt. I may buy it...I dont have his entire collection anymore. Then again, it depends on the tracklisting. Hope the single is good. (if there is one)

It`s logical to be a single out -they need sth to promote the album and Interscope aren`t that dumb to count only on his name. He will have a single. And a solid promo, I bet. No more rest for him, I guess...

Any predictions on how this might sell - I am guessing in the 3 million range in the long run depending in the success of the first single.
It's definitely cash-grabbing, but I think Em has earned the right now to do a GH.

If Hilary Fluffbag can put out a greatest hits, then that gives anyone the right to put out one...What hits has she had?.............thats what i thought... but even so...noone should put out a greatest hits who hasnt been out a MINIMUM of 10 years IMHO...but then again, i guess Em has had ALOT of great songs and hits... I might buy this...depending on tracklisting. THere better be an abundance of old songs on here and not alot from his last two albums... More from Marshall Mathers and Slim Shady i hope!

Is there a tracklisting yet? I'll more than likely get the album but I'd still like a tracklisting.

I also may pick this up. I never got any of his albums, even though I respect him as an artist and provocateur. His GH may be the closest thing to a male equivalent to The Immaculate Collection we'll see, both from a commercial and cultural standpoint. (Note: a Michael Jackson compilation could fill that, too, but there's just too many of those to choose which would do the trick- and, that has affected the sales, too).

Bad Boy Entertainment has just revealed that Diddy, 50 Cent, R. Kelly and Eminem will be appearing on The Notorious B.I.G.'s upcoming The Notorious B.I.G. Duets: The Final Chapter.
As previously reported by SOHH.com, the late Bob Marley is featured on Duets' first single, "Hold Ya Hand" featuring Clinton Sparks. Missy Elliot, Mary J. Blige, Eve, Q-Tip, Ludacris, Boyz N Da Hood, T.I., Mobb Deep, Slim Thug, New Edition frontman Ralph Tresvant, Styles P, Snoop Dogg, Obie Trice and others are also scheduled to appear on the CD.
Side note: Voletta Wallace was on Hot 97 the other day, and said Jay-Z, Bob Marley Nate Dogg, 2Pac, Ludacris, Nas, Mary J. Blidge, Big Pun, Fat Joe, R. Kelly, Fabolous, Foxy Brown, Redman, and Eminem, and of course P. Diddy "oh no, just Diddy" and Faith Evans will be on it. She said that the track with Nate is incredible and Jigga gave a new verse.
Duets marks Big's second posthumous album. Bad Boy released Born Again back in 1999. The album featured guest appearances by Snoop, Em, Busta Rhymes, Lil' Kim, Method Man, Redman, Craig Mack, G. Dep, Nas, K-Ci and Jo Jo, Ice Cube, Beanie Sigel, Black Rob, Too Short and Hot Boys. Notorious B.I.G. Duets: The Final Chapter is due in stores Nov. 29 via Bad Boy Records.

^ I realized what I wrote was ambiguous but it was too late. I meant that a collection of all your singles is boring, you might skip 2 or 3 of them instead of releasing all. The way Madonna did with The Immaculate Collection.

Why isn't anyone saying anything to Eminem for releasing a GH album? He's only released 4 albums and hasn't had that many hits and has only been around for 6 years. When Britney released one, everyone said that it was too soon and laughed but no one says anything to Eminem. *smh*
The only reason I said all that was because on some show I saw last night they were saying that Eminem should have released a hits collection along time ago since he is so big of a star...and they said Britney's was uncalled for.

Well, Eminem's body of work is regarded a tad more highly than Britney's. ;)
But, in terms of the # of albums put out and all, it's the same scenario. Thing is some wait longer to put out the first compilations, while others don't. In terms of the amont of years, I don't think anyone can top Backstreet Boys- not only was it after just 3 albums (in the USA), it was just 4 years and change after the first album hit.

When u start seeing greatest hits albums, it usually means the label thinks you are past prime and want to start milking it before you fall of the face of the earth.

Alot of country artists put out 2-3 collections of hits. I don't listen to Em but I do think he deserves this, and he has plenty of HUGE hits to fill it. (And I hate rap, so I won't be buying or listening to this).
