Nope.
The second sentence in the clue is a subtle reference to the lyrics in the song.

Very good! (and congrats on your 10,000th post. I ain't even halfway there!)
15) A song from a movie starring Dudley Moore.
14) A song about racial equality, not a piano.
13) I can't think of a good clue for this song, so I don't mind if you don't guess it right.
12) Oops! I did it again, I played with - wait, that's not the right song. Never mind....
11) Something parents tell their kids all the time.
GOOD LUCK!!

Captain K already guessed #15 (prematurely), so I'll skip that one...
14) Paul McCartney & Stevie Wonder, "Ebony & Ivory" 13) Diana Ross & Lionel Richie (or vice versa), "Endless Love"

Aaron is correct with the two that he guessed, but jimmy was not correct.
I forgot to mention that parents sometimes say this to their kids before they go somewhere alone.

Lets try "Don't Talk to Strangers" - Rick Springfield for #11. The alone clue is pointing me here.

Captain K already guessed #15 (prematurely), so I'll skip that one... Guess that means 15 is "Arthur's Theme".
And thank you for leaving that one for me even though you didn't have to. :)

Very good! Now that we're in the Top Ten, we'll take it one song at at a time:
10) A number one song by a group whose other big hits include a song about a number and another about a vast place.

Yup!
9) The second most popular movie hit of the 1980s, from the same year that brought us the third Star Wars movie (but the song is NOT from that movie - remember, "Ewok Celebration" by Meco never even hit the Top 40!)

Yup!
8) This was the top movie song of the 1980s, according to Casey Kasem when he did his "Top 40 Movie Songs of the 1980s" countdown.

Jimmy is correct. "Up Where We Belong" was only number one for three weeks and "Call Me" was number one twice that long (the songs on the "Movie Hits" countdown were ranked by weeks on top)
BTW, I'm going to have to go back and double-check on "Up Where We Belong". Seems weird that the song didn't make this survey.
7) The biggest song by an Australian act to make the survey.

BTW, I'm going to have to go back and double-check on "Up Where We Belong". Seems weird that the song didn't make this survey. That only spent 10 weeks on the chart, if I'm not mistaken, so both its rise and fall had to be really fast. So it's no wonder that it missed the Top 100.

That's right. I almost forgot that any song that was number one in the fall of 1982 had virtually no chance of spending much more than ten weeks on the chart, due to the high volume of new releases back around that time. Another song that this affected was "Truly" by Lionel Richie. That song wasted no time hitting the top ten and going to number one. It fell off the chart from inside the Top Ten (#7). True, this was over the two-week break, but it likely would have only spent one more week on the chart anyway if charts had been printed over that time period
Anyway, onto the game:
6) This song actually two parts though most stations opted not to play Part 2.. The first part was a ballad and the second song (the title of which is another word for "escape") was a little rockier - had virtually nothing to do with the Part 1.

Now I don't know the definite answer to this one, but based on the fact that there can only be so many left, I'll just have to guess based on those that are likely left.
6. Journey - Open Arms ?

6. "Hard To Say I'm Sorry" - Chicago. The part II of the song is "Get Away"

That is indeed right, Jimmy. The lyrics to "Getaway" are:
When we get there, gonna jump in the air No one will see us 'cause there's nobody there After all, you know we really don't care Hold on, I'm gonna take you there

Oh yeah, the next clue
5) This was a song that fell victim to the R&R's cutoff rules for year-end charts. It was already number one by the beginning of the year (which is when the chart years started back then), so all it had to go on was what was left of its chart life. But there was indeed a lot left, as it spent a long time at number one.

Yep!
#4) This song battled it out with another song for top song of the year, since they both spent the same number of weeks at number one. (I won't tell which year, because that would give it away.)

I forgot to mention that, back at #8, we wrapped up 1980. That narrows it down to three different years.

And I'll guess Foreigner's "Waiting For a Girl Like You" for #4, since that's the only other song that could fit.
Although, that spent 6 weeks at #1 and Kim spent only 5...
