New Found Glory will be shooting a music video for their new single, "Listen To Your Friends," in Los Angeles. Meiert Avis (Matchbox 20, U2) will be directing.
This is the first single from their new record "Not Without A Fight" coming out on March 10th, 2009 (originally, it was supposed to come out in February, but it was delayed). The record was produced by Mark Hoppus (blink-182, +44). It will be released through the band's new label, Epitaph Records.
Goes for adds to Alternative radio on January 27th.

I don't have to say anything here. Any of you that have been on this forum over the past few years know my stance on NFG. That day in February may be one of the more memorable days of my life

I'm really pumped for this...They are my 3rd favorite band of all time. I love every single song and album NFG released.
This is almost certainly going to debut at #1 on my personal chart...and stay there for a long time :)
Coming Home may be my favorite, I love the diversity, the poppy, catchy, radio-friendly sound of that record...It's unlike the other albums though...I would rank all their albums except Nothing Gold Can Stay with An "A"

Their comercial/mainstream peak long gone...
Well I will be happy as long as this one charts in Modern Rock (Top 40)
Something like 30,000 for the first week of the album would be good

I'm expecting a miracle and their fourth gold album. I truly am :( 30k? Far too much, Coming Home opened with 39k. If this gets 20k I'll be satisfied.

This is the first album that will be released from Epitaph and it's produced by Mark Hoppus, so I expect a much different sound than the mostly emo material they had while on Geffen. I actually kind of expect them to get slightly higher first week results than "Coming Home," but I guess it really depends on what they sound like with this new stuff and how much it is pushed.

Emo? lol It was mostly pop rock. And on this one they will sound like they used to: pop punk and hardcore. And that won't help sales that much

The band described the record sound as a tentative mix between Sticks And Stones and Catalyst.

I doubt they'll recapture the glory of the early-to-mid 00's - their true heyday - but their base, and hardcore music fans, will continue to follow them, regardless.
It's Not Your Fault: A Hold My Hand: A My Friends Over You: A Hit Or Miss (Waited Too Long): A Head On Collision: A- All Downhill From Here: B+ Failure's Not Flattering: B+ I Don't Wanna Know: B- Kiss Me: C

I got into this band a few years ago and instantly liked "My Friend's Over You" and "Familiar Landscapes". (I don't think FL was released as a single).
I never really liked ADFH, but I remember really liking a lot of their songs that weren't singles.
Let's hope they can switch that around this time and actually give us some good singles. And with Mark Hoppus producing, they should be able to get it right.
Speaking of Mark Hoppus, +44 better get back into business soon. Last I heard Travis was out of the hospital and excited to get back in the studio.

I had to turn off the new Fall Out Boy album since I haven't heard that yet to hear this. Well at least I know it's pop-punky rather than the emo NFG that we've heard over the past few albums. Sounds pretty freaking good! I'm so stoked to hear more now :)

It sold 15k in the first week! And debuted at #42 on BB200. I think those are great numbers for a cover album, especially considering "Kiss Me", the only single taken from the record wasn't a hit.

I think those are great numbers for a cover album, especially considering "Kiss Me", the only single taken from the record wasn't a hit. I agree that's respectful to chart that high especially having a lot less publicity than they did say 7-8 years ago, and "Kiss Me" was by far I think the worst cover they did on that release. I like some of the other songs from the earlier films better like "Don't You Forget About Me" and "Head Over Heels," which were awesome.
