Waking Up In Vegas and If You Can Afford Me would both be hits IMO. Both songs are pretty good but ain't hit materials in my opinion.

This is terrible, her voice is just....
I can only stand one song from her, and that is Hot N Cold.

I can only stand one song from her, and that is Hot N Cold. Me too. It's undeniably catchy. I'm hot and cold (no pun intended ) on IKAG, sometimes I like it, sometimes I hate it.

This song would be better if she sung the verses...instead of 'inflecting/talking' them... Its a good song, she just brings it down some.

Hate the way she says "indian summer" but surprisingly I don't mind the song too much. b*tch can't sing for her life, though, and it's only on this song that I've nticed it. uptempes seem to hide it, at least when its a recording. we won't discuss live performances :x

Ugh, the mods should really do something about the constant bashing that goes on in this thread. Whenever I feel like discussing this song I have to meander through a bunch of shit posts from people complaining about her lack of vocal talent. If her voice makes your skin crawl, quit listening to her songs. More importantly, quit spamming a thread with 'yeah her voice sucks' 'ew gross voice' and other posts that are only meant to spark arguments.
Alright, now back to this song. I think this was the perfect third single. Waking up in Vegas is a stronger song and will be another #1 for her, but has a far better chance at longevity released in the spring/early summer months.
This song was gorgeous and one of my favs from the start. The video sealed the deal for me and will probably go down as one of my favorite videos of 2009. I love that it feels like short film, cinematic and emotional, yet the focus is totally on the music. A lot of contemporary pop artists could take note. This and the Hot N Cold video make me think Miss Perry will be around for quite a while.

Come on Katy, lets have another top 10! I was really into this when the album first came out, then I went off it and now I'm really getting back into this at the moment.

I LOVE her vocals on this song. JMO, but I consider myself pretty well-educated when it comes to vocals.

She reminds me of Alanis Morrisette in this song. I like it.

I love this song and think the vocals are fine. I wasn't a big fan of I Kissed a Girl but I loved Hot & Cold and this so I'm a Katy fan. Chart wise she is doing amazing for a new artist. Two top 2 pop hits and 2 top 3 hot 100 hits and hopefuly thinking of you does well also.

Yeah, she's done brilliantly thus far. And her success is more remarkable when you consider her songs have been hits all over the world. She's one of the brightest stars of the last year.

Billboard Review KATY PERRY Producer(s): Butch Walker Label/Catalog Number: Capitol January 10, 2009 ET Thinking of You A year ago, Katy Perry's amusing debut, "Ur So Gay," was met with trepidation by radio, but embraced by the club community and applauded on this page. Now look at her: Grammy-nominated with the No. 1 "I Kissed a Girl" and the frolicking top five sophomore single "Hot N Cold." The down-tempo "Thinking of You" is decidedly more earnest, as the singer/songwriter reflects on settling for second best: "You said move on, where do I go/Cause when I'm with him, I am thinking of you." Perry maintains her distinct vocal inflection, while production conjures a mid-'90s No Doubt pop/rock palette. Much like Pink, who credibly flip-flops from playing to ponderer, this is an essential transition for Perry to mutate beyond party girl novelty into savvy, staple hitmaker. As a woman who has played the game for longer than most realize, she has earned her keep. "Thinking" is a no-brainer. —Chuck Taylor www.billboard.com/bbcom/reviews-singles/thinking-of-you-1003926119.story

This is my favorite Katy Perry song to date. I kept overlooking it when I skimmed over the album but its a hit in my book regardless of what happens. And Melina keeps churning out them wonderful videos. The color hues used and the cinematograpghy turned a boring concept into something somewhat fresh.
