The previous record was set by Britney Spears' "Womanizer" which went from #96 to #1 in a week's time. This marks Kelly's first Hot 100 #1 since 2002's "A Moment Like This," which went from #52 to #1.

In addition, the song holds the #1 spot on the Digital Chart with 279,605 sold in its first week. This is the 3rd biggest digital song debut for a female artist.

"My Life Would Suck Without You" is the first single off Clarkson's fourth album titled All I Ever Wanted (19 Recordings/RCA Records). The release of All I Ever Wanted has moved up to March 10th.

Thanks for the video, beelzebub666 ! I also care very little about the "record" that Kelly broke, but doing so has it's positive buzz perks. This story already has made it to the front page of Billboard, yahoo, and soon to be other media outlets. What is far more important, I believe, is the #1 spot that Kelly so deservedly earned- well done Kelly/RCA/Strarstruck !

Can I just say how cute/adorable/awesome the video is??
She looks beautiful and it is nice to see her in playful mode.

And actually the video has helped me see the song lyrics in a different light...I know Kelly has explained the lyrics in recent radio interviews, but I really wasn't buying it...with the video...it helps me see the lyrics in that content.

As many of you know, I'm a die-hard Mariah fan... and a bad second single choice completely ruined her era, but I think things are going to be different for Kelly this time around!

If you happen to wander past my office at any point during the day, odds are you'll hear Kelly Clarkson's infectious new single, "My Life Would Suck Without You," playing. (Or "Elevator" from the new Pussycat Dolls album. Judge away, PopWatchers. I certainly would.) But Clarkson fans like me can rejoice because the former American Idol just released the new video for her hit single (which has broken records by leaping to No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart). Basically, a less angry "Since U Been Gone," the video has Kelly playfully arguing with a very hot fella. Who are you, sir? Maybe we should do introductions over drinks?

I can't wait either. I think it's a fantastic Pop song and with Kelly singing it I'm betting it will go to #1. Supposedly Kelly had some of the lyrics changed so if the lyrics as they are now put some people off then maybe the new ones will be more to their taste.
