Thanks for posting. :) I'm not a big fan of the song but the video is Ace! Congrats to Kelly on the success shes having especially after the fiasco that ensued with the last release.

No dates have been announced, but the press release says that there will be major promotion for the week of March 9th, so expect most of them to be around that date. Thanks Mikey. :)

I don't think she will open with Britney numbers but they will be better than the last outing and hopefully #1 which would give her again another record of the first Idol with two #1 albums on the Billboard Album chart. That will be SO cool.

Carrie debuted at #2. She lost to Madonna by like 10k votes during the SH era. I'm extremely proud of Kelly for her #1 Hot 100 single.

From Billboard Chart Beat: THIS IS YOUR 'LIFE': For the second time in her career, Kelly Clarkson sets the record for the biggest leap to No. 1 on the Hot 100. This week she does it with a 97-1 bound for "My Life Would Suck Without You" (RCA), narrowly surpassing the 96-1 jump Britney Spears' took with "Womanizer" the week of Oct. 25, 2008. Clarkson's debut single, "A Moment Like This," made history the week of Oct. 5, 2002, when it rocketed 52-1, breaking the 38-year-old record set by the Beatles' "Can't Buy Me Love," which flew 27-1 the week of April 5, 1964. Here is a list of the 13 titles that have leapt to No. 1 from outside the top 30 in the 50-year history of the Hot 100: 97-1: "My Life Would Suck Without You," Kelly Clarkson (Feb. 7, 2009) 96-1: "Womanizer," Britney Spears (Oct. 25, 2008) 80-1: "Live Your Life," T.I. featuring Rihanna (Oct. 18, 2008) 71-1: "Whatever You Like," T.I. (Sept. 6, 2008) 64-1: "Makes Me Wonder," Maroon 5 (Sept. 12, 2007) 53-1: "Take a Bow," Rihanna (May 24, 2008) 52-1: "A Moment Like This," Kelly Clarkson (Oct. 5, 2002) 51-1: "Love in This Club," Usher featuring Young Jeezy (March 15, 2008) 42-1: "Give It to Me," Timbaland featuring Justin Timberlake and Nelly Furtado (April 21, 2007) 41-1: "Umbrella," Rihanna featuring Jay-Z (June 9, 2007) 34-1: "SOS," Rihanna (May 13, 2006) 32-1: "This Is Why I'm Hot," Mims (March 10, 2007) 31-1: "SexyBack," Justin Timberlake (Sept. 9, 2006) "Life" is Clarkson's second No. 1, following "Moment." She had four top 10 hits from her "Breakaway" album; the highest-ranked single from that set was "Since U Been Gone," which peaked at No. 2 the week of April 9, 2005. Her next release, the ill-fated "My December," yielded only one top 10 hit, "Never Again," which reached No. 8 the week of May 12, 2007. Clarkson's second record-setting leap to No. 1 extends her lead as the "American Idol" competitor with the most No. 1s on all Billboard charts. "My Life Would Suck Without You" also tops Hot Digital Songs and Hot Digital Tracks, bringing Clarkson's total to 48. Carrie Underwood is in second place with 36. Clarkson's latest hat trick of chart-toppers gives the franchise a new total of 221 No. 1s. "My Life" is the first Hot 100 No. 1 by an "Idol" singer that is not a song connected to a season finale. Those previous No. 1s, after Clarkson's "Moment," were by Clay Aiken, Fantasia, Carrie Underwood and Taylor Hicks. Here is an updated list of the Idols who have topped any Billboard chart, and how many No. 1s they have accumulated to date: Kelly Clarkson 48 Carrie Underwood 36 Chris Daughtry (Daughtry) 25 Fantasia 21 Ruben Studdard 15 Clay Aiken 11 Kimberley Locke 8 Mandisa 8 Josh Gracin 7 Jennifer Hudson 6 Jordin Sparks 6 David Cook 5 Elliott Yamin 4 David Archuleta 3 Taylor Hicks 3 Kellie Pickler 3 American Idol Finalists 2 Bo Bice 2 Bucky Covington 2 Chris Sligh 2 Paris Bennett 1 Diana DeGarmo 1 Tamyra Gray 1 William Hung 1 Clarkson's "Life" is the 62nd No. 1 for the RCA label in the rock era. It's the first since Avril Lavigne led the list with "Girlfriend" the week of May 5, 2007. The only imprint with more No. 1s than RCA is Columbia, with 97. www.billboard.com/bbcom/chart_beat/bonus.jsp

The CD of the Deluxe will also have bonus tracks! Here's the Sony Press Info: I can't wait for the Making of AIEW/MLWSWY :). Plus there will be Clear Channel Stripped performances. Thats exciting! So does this mean that the stripped performances will be from the show in the Bahamas? I hope so, because i was kind of worried we wouldn't get to see that show.

There was an even better segment about Kelly on E News tonight with some behind the scenes footage of the MLWSWY video shoot and the MLWSWY single cover photoshoot. There's video on KCEMedia.

"thankfully more Breakaway than My December" Wow, why so much hate for that album? It was amazing. And if the other tracks all sound like MLWSWY then that's not a good thing. I don't like the I Don't Hook Up demo, but I have hope for the other tracks still. I agree. MLWSWY is not up to par with most of the tracks on MD.

Finally, MLWSWY grew on me. reminds me of SUBG a lot now, because of the screaming chorus. I love it!

From Clive's stooge at FOX NEWS: Of course the idiot got the song title wrong but he just says what Clive tells him to say anyway. www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,484845,00.html Kelly Clarkson Buries Her December Our long national nightmare is over: Kelly Clarkson is back and having a hit. You may recall Clarkson’s debacle at the RCA Music Group a year and a half ago. She insisted on releasing an album no wanted to hear, called "My December." She took on Clive Davis, and lost. It was a mess. The album tanked, Clarkson’s career went into the Bermuda Triangle. But I told you she’d be back as long as she listened to Davis and his team. Now Pete Ganbarg has shephered her new album, due in March. The single, "My World Would Suck Without You," may contain inelegant wording, but it’s catchy as hell and already getting played everywhere. "December" has been forgotten. Kelly’s days of rebellion are over. She’s back to being a playful pop icon instead of Alanis Morissette ten years too late. The Swedish Max Martin sound machine wrote "My World." My guess is Ganbarg has an album full of singles coming next month. All is right with the world.

I am sorry...I didn't understand what you meant here...didn't MD open pretty decently, if I remember? I think it had better opening numbers than BA did...didn't it? Not like it matters we all know the numbers of both!
I was just curious if I missed the point of what you meant! :)
I am so excited for the deluxe CD/DVD edition!
I think it is just different, that's all... that is the beauty of Kelly, she can tap into different sounds/genres/emotions/etc.......that is why is is AMAZIN!
Believe me it took me a while to adjust to the song/era, but I did really fall in love with her because of BA so I shouldn't judge. But MD is my fav of the 3 and there are some precious gems on there.
My hubbie thinks this is a step back for her compared to MD...he isn't saying sell out, but he is slightly disappointed with the new song! We have been having nice debates on it!

My "World" Would Suck Without You?? SO IDIOT Clive Davis only needs Kelly to make a HIT for MONEY and doesn't care about the artistic album. We've got an economy in the tank with millions of people out of work, tens of thousands being laid off every day, and even wealthy people losing serious money on their investments, and you're complaining because Kelly made a more commercial album this time? Every unit sold of MLWS and the album, when it comes out, could help keep some average Joe or Jane employed who works for Sony/BMG, RCA, the Blackstock agency, and even directly for Kelly. Right now, if Kelly had made another artistic album that few people wanted to buy, we wouldn't be celebrating her #1 on the Hot 100 and her big comeback on radio -- and the shot-in-the-arm this success has given her career.
