I'm the same way. I remember not liking her first few performances of NA, but they got a lot better as she performed it.

I'm with the ones who say they enjoy the performances after a little while more than the first few. Once Kelly gets comfortable with performing the songs, that's when they start being off the hook! Examples: MI. The first few performances were just like the album, but after a while she completely took over that song on stage.

kelly didnt start singing MI the way she does now til 1 year after MI's release.
Yes, she gets more comfortable with the more performance she does, but it also usually takes a toll on her fragile voice.

Kelly herself admitted on her interview that she thinks reba is such a great vocalist and a robot (In a sense that reba sounds the same everyday on 2W2V tour, while kelly somtimes sounded clean, sometimes a little rough. She also said that she doesnt mind the grit (when it gets abit tired)

Diva no one is saying they want Kelly to sing the songs in a way that takes a toll on her voice. We're all just mentioning that as Kelly gets more comfortable with the songs, her performances always get better.

As for Miss Independent, you are misinformed. Kelly performed the song in the UK (Sunrise, etc.) a month or two after it was released and all her performances were far more comfortable than her first ones in the US. It didn't take her a year as you are trying to imply.

Point we are all trying to make is, her performances usually get better with time and we're looking forward to MLWSWY after a few gos.

Nope Kelly didn't start singing MI the way she does now (AOL version) til early show summer 04 when she did breakaway,BD, half of MI. Then we heard AOL later on. Since then she's been singing MI that way. But yeah, Kelly always gets more comfortable with the songs the more she performed it(duh).

About live vs album version, while I like some extra high notes/belting, I still prefer the pitch perfect vocal, perfectly mixed background vocal and music of the studio version, except for MI, where is your heart, Ttwli and JMTT.

Anyway , is the cover art of hook up that's floating around the official one? It's ok, but I was kindda hoping they used a different promo pic, but there are still more singles to be released with new cover arts. Anyway, Kelly said hook up is about to come up. I wonder how soon ... Eeeek

I think it is fake, you can tell that Kelly's figure has been poorly cropped from the promo pics. Look closely and I think it is easy to see it is not genuine.

I was thinking the same, but maybe it was just the quality. It's up on coverlandia n they are usually right. I hope they are wrong this time though, I want a single cover as eye popping as SUCK. But honestly, I just want to hear the song asap, it'll depend on SUCK's chart longevity.

Jinxed2 (a KCE poster that went to the Bahamas show) just posted this!

Per idolskii Kelly kicks everybodies ASS! The show was ASS KICKING!!

Were in Miami just waiting for our connecting flight home. I'll upload a few vids and audio of the entire show when we get in later tonight. The rest I'll get up tomorrow. And yes, Kelly did kick ASS!!

Well she has been singing UTTM for about 2 years. She probably wants to do something new. I'm sure she will still stick it in a few select dates every now and then.

I said that Kelly started singing the song differently after a couple of performances. She got more comfortable with the song and ran with it. Yes it's evolved throughout the years, but it didn't take her long to get into her groove and change it up.

On a much better note, that performance of MLWSWY was really great! She had great energy.

Not bad at all. Ran out of gas a little at the end there, but it's the last song. She's been singing jumpin up n down all nite.
I just wish that she didn't sing "without you" on mlwsWY that way (the end of 2nd hook on cd version). I kindda knew she'd sing it that way, it changed the whole feel of the catchy hook and it took away the climatic melody.

I kindda guess based on her live singing of other song like BTHE on "I'm torn to pieces.." . Listen to her cd version and live version, you'll hear the difference on melody. Changing it sometimes takes away something from the song.

It's my only complaint, do you all understand what I just said? Probably not huh ;( . It's hArd to explain it with my limited English, anyway nice job Kelly! She sounded so good on that LQ video

Wow- loved the performance and really happy to see Kelly looking very happy, savouring the crowd's energy. I really love her energy prior to the last chorus, all the jumping up and down in this rocked out version, but my only complaint is that she seems to be intentionally singing the verses in a EMO, lazy way.
