Huh? How would that even work? lol I don't get why video sales don't count...it's still purchasing the song. I recall back in 2000/2001 when Madonna would release DVD video singles for "Music" and "What It Feels Like For A Girl" those counted toward the Hot 100. There's a gift option on iTunes. You can purchase singles and albums and gift it to other iTunes users. This lady I'm referring to gifted 1,000 downloads of the FYE video to Adam fans. I don't recall where I saw this posted, I think on IDF? In any case, video sales on iTunes don't amount to a lot, compared to singles sales. I didn't see anything like that on IDF and I personally don't really believe that. Do you have a link? |

I didn’t take her up on her offer, but some of my LJ friends did. And she did say that she was able to gift 1000, as there were a few people who asked late and she said the quota was met. |

This song refuses to fall off the face of the earth. Climbed up to #77 on Itunes! It's pretty interesting how people are still buying it despite the lack of airplay or televised promotions. I guess the video is keeping sales afloat...also anytime Adam is on TV it benefits from people looking for "WYWFM" on Itunes lol.

It is seriously the song that never dies. Apparently RCA has comissioned some remixes of this, so I'm guessing this is the single they'll be pushing internationally for Adam. That makes sense.

Yeah me too I do like the song and video. Still pissed he lost Idol..ALL my friends wanted him to win except for 2. But I'm glad this video and WWFM as a song is having success....he deserves it so much!! Is the album doing well?

More Asian stuff going on with this song. This time, it's in China:
FYE #3 on Beijing China's HitFM Top 20!
HitFM is very famous in China ,millions of people in Beijing,Shanghai,Guangdong and many other city can hear it .
This is the first time Adam got in the chart! and his CD hasn't even published in China,and have no agitprop in China ,DJ said that Adam is a miracle.
It's awesome!
Adam has a huge number of fans in China too!!

Interesting.
I am of the opinion that FYE will do well internationally because quite frankly? Other countries are far less homophobic than the US. I think ultimately, that's what spelled FYE's demise here in the States.

This is good, I think. FYE (the song) is #1 on NRJ: nrj.fi/top10NRJ is based out of Finland. Adam's historically done better in Finland than in other country (even the US). His songs and albums made it to #1 and #2 on their iTunes charts, and now this. They love them some Adam over there. |
