If so, I assume that the bulk of its sales will come the week following the actual Grammy's broadcast on the 31st (which ends right when the album sales tracking week begins)... so I imagine it will fairly easily pass the 100k mark.

I don't recall any Grammy's album selling a lot. They do good after the awards, but then they plummet.

Steady numbers for Kesha! She could sell around 55K. Hope she does MAJOR promo so we can see her US sales skyrocket.

Maybe someone with talent/something interesting to say can succeed. Don't really think it's worth rooting for someone who is the female representation of flatulence.

HOPE FOR HAITI NOW AIMS FOR THE TOP Digital Only Release Could Debut at #1 on Sales From iTunes, Amazon.com
January 24, 2010
Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief is breaking all sorts of records.
Friday night’s telethon raised more than $57 million as of Saturday afternoon, a new mark for donations made by the general public through a disaster relief telethon. The results include all donations made by phone, online and mobile, but does not include those made by coprporations and large private donors.
It also doesn’t include iTunes sales figures for the Hope for Haiti Now album, which logged the biggest one-day album pre-order in the Apple site’s history.
Currently, the release is the #1 iTunes album in 18 countries. The studio version of “Stranded (Haiti Mon Amour),” the original track performed by Jay-Z, Bono, the Edge and Rihanna, is currently the #1 iTunes song in 12 countries.
Based on these figures, Hope for Haiti Now will go head-to-head with Susan Boyle for #1 on next week’s sales chart, probably in the 80-85k range. It would be the first-ever album to go #1 based solely on digital sales, mostly from iTunes, but also from amazon.com.

Really hope that Gaga can be #1 over SuBo, though I absolutely love her album.

That's nice except that #1 will either be the Haiti album or Susan Boyle

Do you ever really expect 2m to be friendly? ??? Your comment isn't necessary. OK maybe he didn't read the post immediately right above his, outlined in bold, that #1 this week is Haiti vs Susan Boyle? Or maybe I didn't understand his post about Lady Gaga being #1 this week?

My comment is accurate. Whatever Maybe the original estimates are wrong and Lady Gaga will vault to #1 over and above the other 2 albums. A little too insignificant to carry this out so I'll stop here. Thanks
