This appeared on Mediabase a few days ago. If it's her second single, then this can be moved to the Urban forum.

Okay I hate this title, and it shows me Toni does not know how to learn from her previous mistakes. Instead of realizing from time after time of flopping, that the public does not want her to be hip-hop but wants her to make the type of music that made her famous in the first place.

For all we know, this could sound like an R. Kelly ballad or something so I'm not going to judge it just based on the title. I'm fearing the worst though.

Even if Mariah is trying to be "hip-hop", she has the number one song in the country, and whatever she's doing it's obviously working for her. Toni's last album flopped badly, and Please is flopping out of control. People just don't want to see a ghetto Toni.

It could be a ballad for all I know, but the name "Trippin' " leads me to believe it's not. I could be wrong. It just seems that Toni is trying too hard to appeal a young audience and fit in the hip-hop genre.

I hope she world premieres this single at her Home Depot performance, and someone records it and puts it online, Mariah lamb-style! Nu ghetto Toni!* I'm not going to judge it just based on the title. I'm fearing the worst though.

I reported this in the LIBRA album fourm two weeks ago that a new single would be leaked via the internet if anyone remembers. Anyway I think it's in the same post where I said she'll be performing at the Home Depot Center lol...anyway radio programmers were give TWO NEW TONI tracks and right now they are just trying to see which track radio runs with.

Maybe, this is it. If this isn't it, people on the Toni-online forum think it might be "Midnite"

I really like "Trippin'." It has the JD/BMC production, but it works for her.

I hear "Trippin'"
Overall I like it. There's things about it that I love and things about it that I don't like so much.
The pro's: Her vocals are in good, the piano melody is really nice, and I like the overall feel of the song.
The cons: The backup singers sound completely annoying, and I'd like better lyrics than "he trippin' she trippin then we both be trippin', when it's on it's on." Those lyrics kind of put a damper on what would be a really mature-but-current song.
Like I said, overall this is really nice though. I think this would do well at UAC but not sure about elsewhere.

I like it but I can hardly understand what she says. I hate the way she sings her words.

Right now I don't even like this as much as "Please" which was very subpar for her. This isn't even catchy and it's just a really low-rate filler ballad.

I have not heard this yet, but everyone here seems to be so hard on Toni. I think she is doing the best she can. Her latest material may not be her greatest, but its certainly better than alot of songs that are hitting top 10 on various formats.

She was one of the best R&B songstresses of the 90's and now all she does is put out filler. People are just disappointed. I do have to say though I still love "Sposed To Be" even if it doesn't hold a candle to her early-mid 90's material. Now in the case of that song, I'd agree with your last sentence.

I wanna hear this... Being that someone mentioned the JD/BMC production... I may like it and I may hate it, depending on how much it sounds like all the other stuff.

I really hope this doesnt sound like those Brian Cox ballads that seem to now be a standard on EVERY r&b album released now. Faith, Fantasia, Destiny's Child, Usher, Tamia.....enough is enough with that formula!

This doesn't sound like Bryan Michael Cox at all. It doesn't even sound like JD.

I just realized that "Orange Clouds" is the real asshole around here. Well, I'm done with this board. I have never heard a group of people tear an artist down so much.
I even go and read some of the other quotes and your the same people who think J.Lo and Ciara is hott shit! :( I don't get it.
But, it seems to be that it's not about how much you love a song on the PULSE BOARD, it's like you guys wait for a sng to be released so that you can find something bad about it and come here and post.
this is a good song as is a few others on this board that some of you don't like.
As for, "Orange Clouds" your an asshole, but I don't have to live with you. It's not just Toni, I'm speaking about your comments on other artist.
I hope to GOD your not in the music business!
