I'm only mildly surprised that Active rock is playing this song so quickly. Why would you be surprised at all? Their last single went #1 on the format.

I meant I mildly thought that Active would play Rope for another 6 weeks before giving Walk a chance.

Wow, just caught this premiere on Paladia. Very impressive video to me. I thought the stab at the cultural lameness of Bieber/Bush/Coldplay was humorous. I'm a Coldplay fan, and I do think Justin Bieber possesses legit talent in spite of my agreements/outrage over how he is marketed and his annoying degree of celebrity.............and even I thought those jabs were hilarious. Namaste, Lisping Hibiscus IA, and i need to get this album Foo Fighters is another band that can pretty much do no wrong in my eyes.

They've made a few bad moves for me, but this album has more than made up for it.

I watched the Back and Forth documentary last night, and I must say it's one of the best music documentaries I've seen yet. Only thing I thought was missing was that they never mentioned anything about their hiatus in 2009, or the Greatest Hits album. Also they never played even a clip of "Rope", let alone the video, which I found strange.

they never mentioned anything about their hiatus in 2009 Well why would they? I mean, it wasn't like a breakup or anything, they were just doing other things.

I assumed the movie was about the music they made. Not the music they weren't making.

Yes but they talked a lot about change in band members and personal struggles they all had. So I thought it may have mentioned something about the hiatus between the transition of Echoes... to Wasting Light.

I've wondered for a few weeks now if Foo Fighters will become the first artist on Billboard's Rock Songs to replace themselves at #1.

I think this is definitely poised to be the next Alternative #1. Everything else in the top 10 looks to have peaked, except for "Young Blood". Considering recent chart trends, I think that one could potentially climb to the top, but not before "Walk".

Considering recent chart trends, I think that one could potentially climb to the top, but not before "Walk". I think AWOLNATION could push a few more spots for a top 5 as well. I think that's the other song in the top 10 that's certainly not done yet. And Coldplay still has a shot to make some gains toward the top spot as well.

You know, I forgot to factor in the forthcoming RHCP release. At this rate, I think "Walk" will sneak in a week or two at #1, then will succumb to "Maggie".

This will indeed replace Rope at #1 on Billboard's Rock Songs for next week. First band in the brief history of chart to do so.

Pretty sure Wasting Light was certified Gold in its 3rd chart week last spring. Not so positive about the Hits disc.
