Like this a lot better than Rope - I feel like they've already kind of been here with Learn To Fly though

Walking and Flying are completely different modes of transportation. What a dry joke.

I can't over how good this album is. I kind of want "Arlandria" but this is the obvious choice.

Interestingly enough, the album's Wikipedia entry presently has "Arlandria" listed as the album's official second single, with a June 14 release date suggested. There's no source backing it up. Ya never know, it may well be. They already pulled back Walk once. All I have to say is that, while the lack of source suggests it shouldn't even be featured on the page presently..........June 14th makes for a most sensible second single launch date in that 1) it falls on a Tuesday, when new releases typically trot out and 2) considering "Rope" is still holding stable toward the top of its core formats, provides some sensible breathing space, even with any follow-up release likely to receive adds and airplay prior to an official release date. I say go with June 14th as the second single release date, regardless if it's "Arlandria" or not. Namaste, Lisping Hibiscus

Uh...yeah, that's why he said, the date looks good based on logic, whether or not it's actually Arlandria -- meaning he's taking it with a grain of salt.

And, uh, as for Wikipedia.com, I'll paraphrase the best I can from memory what the great Michael Scott says about it.... "Wikipedia is the greatest thing ever. Anyone in the world can post anything they want about any subject. So you know you are getting the best possible information." EDIT : ADDED QUOTE You know, people scour Wikipedia and flag information that doesn't have a source or delete information that is false or made to troll the pages. They're usually very good about it too.

My station in KC has "These Days" in heavy rotation and has pretty much dropped "Rope"

I heard the first few seconds and immediately thought of this:
Not a bad song though.

I heard the first few seconds and immediately thought of this: Not a bad song though. I'll confess that I thought the same thing. That's not a bad thing whatsoever though. I've always liked that pop song. It brings out a sort of Elysian high of sorts, both with the sugar-sweet melody and the pumped-up cathartic chorus. Namaste, Lisping Hibiscus

Me three. I forgot about that song for the most part until it was brought up here, but I did recall the intro sounding exactly the same. I just couldn't put my finger on what song it was.

Heard this at the end of "Thor". Its not bad, but it lacks a certain something that I've loved about most other Foo Fighter songs.

I heard it in the beginning and end of Thor and thought it sounded great. Imo the song has a very "timeless" sound. I hope it blows up.

One of my Highdeas the other night, although not a pleasant one, was that this song will eventually be utilized by Americans after an inevitable terrorist attack. :o

I heard this at Thor also and thought "This is the Foo Fighters. Is it their new single?" and sure enough, it was. It reminds me of Resolve a bit during the final choruses because it has the same guitar build-up that Resolve has where the chorus is done twice and during the second time, there's an additional layer of guitar added in.
I really like this though!

This already has a bigger bullet than the new Incubus, Linkin Park, Seether, Stone Sour, and Cage The Elephant singles on Alternative. This is your third post you've had after mine, two of which have been deleted. If you're going to make points and try to make conversation, why do you delete them? Unless you don't want people to react in any way to the points you made. Why think so lowly of your own posts?

It's been official for a month and a day. Radio is just waiting for an official date. I'd guess the first week of June. It's been official, radio's waiting for an official date? No, it hasn't, it isn't official until a date for a single release (either physical, digital, or radio adds date). This is why YOU CAN'T VOTE FOR IT ON THE WEEKLY COUNTDOWN UNTIL IT HAS AN ADDS DATE OR HAS REACHED THE TOP 50! And try making a Top 10 list once in a while, and vote weekly, once every week, not random weeks and on those random weeks, don't vote 2-3 times on the same week.

It was official long ago (April 19, probably earlier). They're waiting until Rope is done until they find a date. They very most likely have the third and fourth singles too, but no dates yet. Obviously you're not in radio. I didn't know I couldn't vote for Walk. I assumed a confirmed single was good enough. Nor did I know I could vote 10. I just post my favorite five every Tuesday when I'm on. But it wasn't official until now. And obviously I'm not in radio yet. I'm only 16.

A single isn't official until it actually goes for adds, because singles have been known to change unexpectedly at the last minute.
