While I want this song to be number 1, it wouldn't shock me if she doesn't get a number 1 on the country airplay chart this era. One thing I'm upset of is that Country wasn't really the main focus this era. I think the more country-sounding songs on the album, like "Begin Again" and "I Almost Do", were only put on the album just so they could cater something to country radios. However, I am very positive about Taylor's new album to be in the same line as "Speak Now."

But I think returning to her Speak Now style would be reductive. Her sound and career will take it's natural course. Shania had no calms about releasing the pop album 'Up!' and it did her career no harm, even if it will not even compare to the masterful Woman In Me in my books. Back on topic, I hope we get a great video, while Taylor is great live I don't think I can deal with a live video again this era. 2 albums in a row was enough.

Those are very respectable add figures for all three singles, and watching them battle it out on the charts for the next 4-5 months is going to be fun to watch.

Is this officially a single now? Sigh. If there's a thread for it, it's a single.

I hope this causes a sales resurgence for the album. "Red" is already doing poorly compared to Speak Now at the same point of its run.

"22" has been done on Pop radio for awhile now and "Red" has only just gotten started at country radio, so the current dip in sales makes sense. It'll go back up again once this gets higher in airplay, and the same will ring true for pop fans as "Everything Has Changed" gets going over there. And, even if this isn't selling quite as many copies relative to her last album at this point in its chart run... so? It just looks like you're really having to reach for something to complain about when there isn't a need to.

All I said was I hope for this album to see some increase in sales once the title-track gains more radio airplay which, I'm sure, we all want for our respective favorites. I'm not sure why that is considered complaining.

Tried listening to this again, but I just cannot stand this song for some reason. Her voice, the production, the lyrics... everything is just irritating to me. The only previous single of hers I haven't cared for was "Mine", in fact I usually love most of Taylor's songs, but I just really hate this song and am extremely disappointed in its release, especially over phenomenal songs like "Treacherous", and especially "All Too Well" (which is my second favorite song of hers ever behind "Mean").

I'm excited about the tour video. They did a great job showcasing the Speak Now World Tour with the Sparks Fly video.

As much as I would rather have an actual music video, I must admit that at least Taylor Swift's tour videos make sense given the spectacle that her shows are (coming from someone who hasn't actually been to one, that is) and with how nicely her past ones have came together. "Sparks Fly" in particular was an honestly great video even though it was basically all just tour footage.

I was skeptical of tour video, but it does capture the energy of the song/tour quite well.

Apparently Taylor's people see this song as a Country song (as I do), because it isn't even getting sent to pop. I think this song is more country sounding than "Mine" or "Sparks Fly" from the last record, and I hope to see it match the #1 peak of Sparks. Hopefully this is a big enough hit to satisfy country radio and mend the fences. I think all the pop focus this record has really put a slight dent in her reputation with country radio.

Another solid tour video from Taylor! I think the one for "Sparks Fly" was the best, but this was almost as good. It'd be nice to have actual music videos for every single, but this is a good compromise because if they didn't put these out, there may have been some of her singles that just didn't get any video treatments at all. Plus, they do a nice job of showing off her live shows, which, visually, look pretty fantastic. I hope I get to see her live someday.

This is my least favorite of the three tour videos. However, it did make me realize how "mature" this tour is compared to the "fairytale-esque" theme of both the Fearless and Speak Now tour.

I only hope Taylor can keep this up for her entire chart run and doesn't suddenly start to struggle majorly in the teens like her last country solo release did. I know there are some non-country elements to "Red" (mainly the auto-tuned "re-e-e-ed"s), but I still think this will go to #1 with no trouble, and the choice not to simultaneously send this to pop radio was a really good move in my opinion that will probably really benefit this single as well as Taylor's country radio career as a whole.

Great tour video! I saw Taylor a week ago in BC & she was absolutely fantastic. I was pretty much just a casual fan before the concert, but wow. Taylor is such a professional entertainer. It might be the best production I've ever seen, and I've been to a lot of concerts.

^Wow. I hope a lot of stations aren't playing "Red" once a day late at night. That would cause a big difference between Taylor's MB chart position and her BB chart position, as Billboard ranks songs by audience, and late night spins count for much less audience, whereas Mediabase ranks songs by points, which are a combination of spins and audience. I have noticed that Taylor has already started posting small audience increases. If she keeps this up and doesn't start getting more spins during the daytime hours, she could run into trouble sooner than I had thought she would. Maybe this won't be such a big hit. Taylor is usually one of those artists like Carrie Underwood and Kenny Chesney who automatically zoom into the top 20 or top 15 with whatever new song they release. This is a bit of a steady climb for Taylor.
