Apparently Artpop is being sold on selected H&M stores, do those sales count btw?

Apparently Artpop is being sold on selected H&M stores, do those sales count btw? Billboard said last week it was a "small amount" and they would not be counted because H&M does not report to SoundScan.

Apparently Artpop is being sold on selected H&M stores, do those sales count btw? SoundScan doesn't track them. However, they should count for certification.

it's common knowledge that iTunes is counted first.

Keep in mind that, outside of the top few titles, digital album sales are not all that high.

Nice to see Kellie Pickler included in there. Hoping ARTPOP will be #1.

We assumed that too, but why is Pure Heroine there with 9k when it was #3 and #4 on iTunes for the whole week. Also Jhene Aiko's numbers must be much higher because of her iTunes positions.

Rocky- outside of the top couple of sellers, digital album sales in a given week are not very high. Recall the tallies on the digital albums chart some months back. What correlation that has to how HITS compiles its chart, not sure.

What correlation that has to how HITS compiles its chart, not sure. That's totally true, but then again there is Jhené Aiko's debut EP that shot up to #3 and was pretty consistent. I don't understand this and probably will never do.

Nobody knows who reports when to HDD. yeah I would think HITS already has all their data before they even start this 2-day rolling out piecemeal routine. That is likely a software thing that is just for show for their readers.

it's common knowledge that iTunes is counted first. I meant to respond to this comment. I don't believe this is the case at all. I remember a couple weeks ago that Sky Ferreira released her album only to itunes (Even Amazon didn't release until the following week) and when they were showing the building charts numbers she was not on there at all. But by the end when 100% totals came in, her number finally showed up (she was int the 40's somewhere). I think this was the case I've seen for those few artists that do release only to itunes as well. This leads me to believe that itunes is not counted first. I always heard that the physical stores are what's reported first like Target and Best Buy. ETA: Here's a quote from an article discussing her itunes only release: "Capital Records may have done Sky Ferreira’s long-awaited debut album, Night Time, My Time, dirty by not promoting it, putting it on Spotify, or even releasing a physical copy, but Sky’s still winning. In addition to getting great reviews from the important places like The New York Times and Pitchfork, the album just debuted in the top forty of the Billboard 200 from an iTunes-only release." I specifically looked for her release when the building chart was at the over 30 and over half way marks and she was not on the chart then but was on the chart afterwards. Itunes couldn't have been counted first.

^Thanks!
The Lady Antebellum re-release is causing a re-enter.
Good to see Mary J Blige re-entering. She had an HSN Xmas special over the weekend.
Michael Buble's Christmas re-entering!
Josh Groban's Noel re-entering.
The success of the Best Man Holiday movie is causing a big jump for the soundtrack!

areyouready, I guess you didn't notice that Buble's album climbed to No. 34 on the 11/23 Billboard 200.
