Susie Boyle has another Christmas album out? lol Where have I been?
I hope Celine can somehow manage to stay in the top-10. :)

areyouready, I guess you didn't notice that Buble's album climbed to No. 34 on the 11/23 Billboard 200. I did notice on the BB200. It wasn't on HITS last week so it is re-entering. Technically.

I post the new albums that are being released each Tuesday. Boyle debuted at #20 or so with zero promotion here in the US. I'm surprised it's hanging in there. It's doing better than Mary J Blige's Xmas album. Uugghh

CHART MURMUR: Lady Gaga's ARTPOP will debut at #1 on the HITS Album Sales Chart when it goes final tomorrow. But what will its first-week number be? And how will her label-mate Eminem follow up last week's explosive debut? And what about the second BBC release from those promising Beatles? You'll never know for sure unless you park yourself in front of the chart and click "refresh" until your thumbs bleed. So get crackin'. (11/18p) www.hitsdailydouble.com/news/rumormill.cgi

It's like they're hiding something - and they know it.
This board will explode tomorrow, either because Eminem will be a dozen copies behind Gaga or the estimation numbers for ARTPOP were so off.

The former, no doubt. That's what this week is all about.

I thought this would sell at least 400k, hopefully it maintains some type of pace. I see she's already debuted at #2 in several countries that BTW went to #1 in.

Oh, Noel is back, it's about time... another 100k this Christmas shouldn't be a problem.

Of course they know. They likely already obtained all their data Sunday. Just like Billboard. This whole two day rollout thing appears to be just their gimmick to entice their readers.

I know it's wishful thinking but didn't ARTPOP was released by mistake (on itunes) a few minutes before last Monday officially began? (thus the CMA affect it had on Dope and Applause last week). But because last week was the official release date they didn't allow it to chart until this week, and maybe those CMA sales were such that it will bring the totals to more than 300k after all??
Wishful thinking, but maybe!!!

Wishful thinking, but maybe!!! It's possible. It's just odd that Billboard didn't count those sales for previous chart week because that's the rule. Perhaps they made an exception because it was a technical issue? In the good old days with SDVs, which is one of the reasons why release dates were on Tuesday and not Monday because of shipping and/or stocking timing, those Sunday sales got more than a few albums to debut just under the Top 200 and maybe a couple in lower reaches.

I'd think that those "early" sales would be included in the projection, as they were not applied to the previous chart.

Unless they purposely left it out for dramatic reasons.
We'll soon find out, I guess. I won't hold my breath on those numbers randomly being included now for the first time though.

I was just at a Target in Buffalo, NY.
They are pricing ArtPop at $15.99!
No one is going to buy a physical cd for $15.99.
Interscope/Target is crazy.

It's still $12.99 here in Canada and $15.99 for the deluxe with the iTunes festival DVD. At least they'll have it available for $7 at Target on Black Friday.

^Yeah, bad wording. Is it a new concert? The Eric Clapton release is a concert CD/DVD for his Crossroads benefit concert held this past April. It includes performances of 45 songs with many guest performers, plus other bonus interviews and behind the scenes features. Tracklisting and other info here.

This suspense is KILLING me. ATRL has 800+ people in their HDD thread, the highest since the Grammys. The power of Gaga, uniting the fans and the haters like no other.

Interesting. So it sold around 145-160k this week (not including preorders), including the SNL boost and an extra day. A 70% drop on that for next week would be around 44-48k. Is there any promo planned? I think it'll be around 55-60k.
