Let's look at it this way. Assume 500K is all there is. Through last Sunday 310K were sold roughly per Soundscan. Then as of Sunday there are only 190K left in the ENTIRE country at all locations combined. Based on today's HITS post. Garth will sell about the same this week as last week or perhaps more. That is all but 30K-40K of the allotment. Unless all stores are selling the exact same number of copies, you would think that some store are having stock issues. Some cities may have already sold out. Supply issues would cause sales to decline, not stay the same or perhaps even increase over last week. I think we already know that the limit is not 500K ...or HITS could be way off with their one-day prediction. I've seen a lot of people, including you, on this board warning people to be skeptical of HITS due to varied reliability. I, for one, would be shocked if the label and accompanying manufacturers just closed up shop on the 500th copy and decided that was enough, but relying so heavily on HITS to deduce that there is more copies out there than initially reported seems...inconsistent.

Garth will be the likely #1 based also on the just posted Billboard post with a number higher than R Kelly's 100K Doesn't change my comment, If 500K is the limit, some cities should be having stock issues by now. Supply issues will cause sales to decline. This does not appear to be happening. No sales decline. No reported supply issues. The number is not 500K in this case. At the rate it is moving, it will exceed that next week

R. Kelly and Childish Gambino have impressive numbers all things considered, but I really thought they would break out more, especially considering the time of year. Still, nothing to fret about.
Hopefully Kelly can get a nice boost this week as well.

Ah, ok. I was thinking there was only 150k left. Well i guess it's still up in the air till next week but i agree they must have ordered more. It does effect sales when stores run low on Physical copies. Less people can buy them. etc. This Garth case isn't cut and dry tho. I can see why there is a debate if more will be ordered or not. At least before today's esitmates. With todays estitmates it looks more and more likely they did order more.

There are supposedly 190k of Garth left on the shelves. With a 150k estimate for this week, that would leave 40k for next week. Everyone keeps saying that Walmart may have ordered more. Here are pictures of the box set: garthbrooks.com/There is the box itself. A book. Who knows if these can be easily and quickly manufactured? Of course the cds can be easily made. Maybe Garth wants this to be a truly limited edition? wow that's alot of photoshop on Garth. they took off at least 50 lbs, and 15 years. ha

Any sound of music numbers? TSOM charted at 17 last week, which covered the week it aired. I doubt it will scan significant numbers this week.

Any sound of music numbers? The HITS Top 15 for next week will be out later today. It sold 38,000 this week.

DD is about 53k ahead of Kelly at this point. She could make around 20-30k on them this week. It's gonna be close by the time the year is over!
Assuming these predictions are at all accurate, of course.

Impressive sales, Kel! Katy is consistent...Prism seems to be the female pop album of choice for the general public in Q4.
No Gaga or Brit?? :(

Nope, ONJ and JT have not returned. It reached No. 86, I believe, so I didn't expect it to return this season.
The Duck Dynasty holiday show snared 8.9 million viewers, and a 3.5 in the 18-49 demo, handily winning the 10 p.m. time slot among cable and network shows. But, the HITS projection probably accounted for any potential bump.

EXCELLENT for Kelly, and most deserved. She BY FAR has this year's best Christmas album.
