A lot of 2006 artists coming back the last few years[Justin Timberlake,Nelly Furtado,Fallout Boy,Good Charlotte[The Madden Brothers] and now Gwen Stefani. This is another one that I hope is good. "4 In The Morning" and "The Sweet Escape" were very catchy songs during their release time.

"4 In The Morning" and "The Sweet Escape" were very catchy songs during their release time. Just this year we've already had a 2006 wave. "Not A Bad Thing" (JT), "Centuries" (FOB), "Can't Remember To Forget You" (Shakira), "Edge Of A Revolution" (Nickelback), "Drunk In Love" (Beyoncé), Sean Paul being featured in "Bailando", and now Fergie and Gwen are releasing stuff. Just wish Nelly and Rihanna would release something... It's like the Disney resurgence we've been having with Jesse, Hilary and now Nick releasing singles.

Not at you shading Nelly Furtado like that :'( Don't even Nelly Furtado is one of my all-time favorites... She doesn't even belong in the same sentence as these two and I really enjoy these two lol. I <3 you even more.

This makes me very, very happy. I'm 99% sure this will turn out to be a Pharrell Williams collab, and even though I'm kinda weary of him, their previous work gives me hope.

I'm excited!!! Radio never gave her a real chance and I don't care if they snub this. She is just ultra cool and her two albums were classics. More pharell collabos maybe rick Rubin ; will.i.am stay away!!!

I'm stoked. I'm ready for some classic Gwen with a current twist. Also, should we assume that Pharrell is taking the wheel on this one? Pleaseeee for the love of God nothing along the lines of "Happy" or "Blurred Lines" if so...

I knew there was no way she wouldn't release anything while the Voice was on. Even a lackluster release...like from another Voice judge...can do moderately well just being associated with the show. Now if they could just get a contestant to have a hit song...

This better not be some annoying shit like "Wind It Up". One of the worst high profile lead-off singles I can think of in the last few decades.

Both of her lead singles missed the mark in the past ("What You Waiting For?" was awesome but an odd choice for the US market at the time). She can't afford a flop lead single this time around though; too much time has passed so she'll only have the curiosity/hype for the first single (unless it's a smash of course). I just hope she doesn't try to appeal to younger audiences by acting really juvenile a la "Wind It Up."

Excited! The last No Doubt album didn't ultimately do much for me in spite of my initial excitement, but I still think "Push and Shove" is a fantastic jam and I would love something left-of-center like that for her comeback single.

What would be a good sound for new Gwen? In terms of any recent Pharrell hits, I could hear her most on "Get Lucky" actually.
Agreed with Danny on "Push and Shove" (and "Undercover") being the beacons of light on the No Doubt comeback attempt. That said, I'm still skeptical that either one would have the power to launch an entire comeback era though.

Yeah what has me very excited in particular is that I'm sure she will bring us something we aren't even expecting.

I love Push and Shove (the song) too, but I want something more in your face, "I dare you to not play me radio" mega hit catchy. Then again, CHR kinda shunned What You Waiting For back in the day (something I'll never ever understand), and pop songs don't come much catchier than that. So you never know. It even flopped on the Hot 100, but that was back in that dead spot though when digital sales were just taking off and sales weren't doing much to help songs yet. Hollaback Girl is actually one of the first huge digital hits I remember. But anyways I want her to have a lot of success with this era since P&S was a bit disappointing in terms of success. She deserves better.

Apparently this song will be produced by Ryan Tedder and Benny Blanco.

More pharell collabos maybe rick Rubin ; will.i.am stay away!!! Are you talking about radio never gave Gwen a chance or No Doubt's last release? Her last cd had 3 singles reach the Top 20 at Top 40 radio. Wind It up - #18 Sweet Escape - #2 for 2 weeks 4 In The Morning - #16 but was on the Top 40 chart for 18 weeks. This info was from R&R CHR pop charts.

Never really understood why 4 In the Morning wasn't a bigger hit. Very catchy, sounds fresh, and even had a great video.
