Is there any word on when the album will be out? Or does that depend on how this single does? Depends on how "Country" does. Curb will not release the album unless this can at least reach the top 30. Things aren't looking too promising though. "Country" took a hit today by losing 38 spins and has lost nearly 100k in audience the past two days. Mo has only gained about 40 net spins over the past six weeks and has actually lost roughly 500k in total MB audience in that time frame. I won't rule out this being able to rally and make the top 30 but it's hard to see happening as long as "Country" stays so stagnant in its gains. It got one add this week -- though it was WPGB in Pittsburgh (iHeartMedia), which is a good add.

Ugh. I'll be disappointed if we don't get an album.
Do you think "Country" has a chance to recover and reach the Top 30?

It's gonna be tough Mo was at #37 last night on BB and with new Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean music coming and The Band Perry are also about to release a new song Tim McGraw as well and it won't be long before Carrie Underwood comes in with new music. Mo really needs to start gaining and real soon and most importantly he needs some songs ahead of him to throw in the towel (Eric Church, Lady A, and like Big & Rich.and Chase Rice) The thing is unless Mo starts gaining and soon I think he's done.

Yeah, I don't think things are looking very good for Mo. "Country" is sitting just under 5 million on Billboard, and it's been pretty stagnant. And suddenly the release schedule is crowded again -- artists like Tim, Jason, Luke, Carrie, and The Band Perry will breeze past the 5 million mark in as little as 1-3 weeks (from whenever their singles go for adds). And I think some of the artists just behind Mo could pass him soon as well, including Chase Bryant, Dierks Bentley, Randy Houser, A Thousand Horses, Jerrod Niemann, and possibly Lee Brice.
I don't think Mo's top 30 chances are very good. If he's going to get there, he'll most likely need to have at least 6-7 million in audience, and right now he's really spinning his wheels. All it takes is one bad week for "Country" to go recurrent on Billboard.

"Country" had yet another stagnant day, losing 5 spins and 80k in audience, which brings Mo's losses at roughly 170k for the week (even in spins).
Mo's actually getting helped out a bunch by his leaders as they have accounted for well over 500 of his net spins but there's still a lot of stations that are keeping this in very light rotation and this song really needs conversions pronto as time is running out to salvage this chart run. KKBQ cutting this song's spins in half really hurt as "Country's" audience would be 450k-500k more right now if they hadn't.

C'mon Curb, keep pumping all you've got into this. It's not like they've got much else on the table (just the Lee Brice single). I'm worried about how long it may be before we get an album from Mo if this doesn't get a bit higher up the charts and I want it so badly. :'(

I'm sure glad one of my stations is playing this a lot. I've heard it so many more times than I ever expected to.

Like I mentioned before, the leaders don't tell the whole story for "Country". Most of the stations who have added Mo's song has kept it in light to very light rotation and right now Curb is desperately looking for conversions. The ad in Aircheck emphasized that KJWW converted it to medium rotation based on research and I'm getting the sense that the research along with the sales are making program directors hesitant on converting this song any further in spins because of that. You just don't don't hear this kind of music (you know, actual country music...) on country radio anymore. Like we've discussed before in many threads, country radio is a different meaning that country radio in 2015, and "Country" is not what's popular right now.
I love the fact Mike Curb and company have put so much money and effort into trying to get Mo to succeed on radio but I still think that this song won't be doing much more than what it has done so far. "Country" lost 5 more spins and 16k in audience today, which is precisely what this single has been doing the past few weeks -- not much of anything. Mo would have to nearly double his MB audience to achieve a solid top 30 single and that is really difficult to see happening.

I'm honestly surprised this has made is as far as it has, considering it had everything going against it coming in. This song has been like the little engine that could

I think "Country" is just about finished. Mo lost 70 spins and nearly 200k in audience today -- this after losing 44 spins and over 350k in audience this MB chart week, losing his bullet ("Country" fell from 36 to 40 on this week's MB chart).
Curb is recognizing that this song is just not going to get much higher as they just couldn't get those conversions to get "Country" going up the chart, as countless songs continued to soar right pass.

Probably for the better, as it wasn't going anywhere anyway. Another casualty of current country.
I hope Curb holds onto Mo because I do think radio will be kinder for him one day in the future. I also love his most recent song "Come Do a Little Life."

I also love his most recent song "Come Do a Little Life." Curb usually holds on to most of their artists so I have no doubt they will be trying a few more singles from Mo. Let's just hope this isn't another Amy Dalley situation where we have a half dozen underperforming singles with no full length album. I agree about "Come Do A Little Life" -- great song.

"Country" is definitely finished as Mo lost another 55 spins and nearly 200k in audience today.
Curb has had Mo doing a massive amount of station visits over the months and playing numerous events so when this goes recurrent on MB, I would think they would try another single before year's end.

I actually met one of this song's writers, Bobby Tomberlin, last week. He was opening for Billy Joe Royal. That surprised me that they got an also semi-notable name for the opener, as this venue (a high school) usually gets local talent for openers if at all. But apparently the originally intended opener was a no-show and Tomberlin happened to be tagging along with Billy. Yes, he sang "Country".
