Wow! You guys know your Kip stuff and I love it! Phil, if you want to know the answer about Lipstick being on the album I can tell you. Unless you wanna be surprised. Just lemme know, lol. That song is seriously amazing and I'm going to relay the message back to Kip about y'alls strong thoughts on this song. And zack97, "Up All Night" has always been an absolute favorite of mine! My other favorite off that album is "Faith When I Fall". Third would probably be "Crazy One More Time"

"I'm To Blame" is on fire, with a bullet of nearly 500. This is a way, way faster start than we saw for either of his last 2 singles.
Not a lot of potential recurrents on Monday, but even so, I think this one might find its way into the Billboard top 40 in just its 3rd week. I think "Dirt Road" spent something like 15 weeks on Billboard, and it only peaked at #44.

26 more adds for "I'm To Blame" this week, bringing its total to 79 total stations on the MB panel. Kip debuts at #47 in the MB top 50 with a 2.0 million audience increase and jumps to #39 on Billboard with a 1.77 million audience increase.
This song is on fire - especially compared to Kip's previous two singles. This is looking like a song that has connected with country radio.

A question, though, for those who have heard the song. In the chorus, does he really sing, "I come from a long line of bloodline that ain't going to change"? This is bugging me, because as I'm hearing it, that particular lyric is redundant ("bloodline" already means "line of descent," so there's no need to say "long line of bloodline"). The official lyric video indeed has it as "a long line of bloodline that ain't gonna change". You can unlock the lyric video by going to votekipmoore.com (which is of course the campaign page to vote for Kip for ACM New Artist). I'm not really sure why they couldn't avoid saying "long line of bloodline", because that's redundant and it bugs me, lol. I still enjoy the song quite a bit, though, and it's nice to see it off to such a great start at radio--up to #39 on Billboard after just 3 weeks, and it might be able to move ahead of Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, and Little Big Town this week if it keeps at its current pace.

For myeverythingku: I'm To Blame makes its debut on the mongrel chart at #31. It is the #15 digital song with 17,000 downloads.

Kip continues to do very well. "I'm To Blame" is up 1.7 million on Mediabase over the last 3 days. A significant amount of that gain is from Westwood One, but even so, I think Kip could finish this week close to the top 30 on Billboard.

I really like this song. Short, direct, sincere. Kip deserves another hit.

Still making steady progress. "I'm To Blame" is up another 173k in audience today and 450k for the week.
Things are going to slow down at this portion of the chart with a bunch of songs moving similar to Kip's but so far this is doing well. MCA will likely see this thing through for an album release this spring/summer.

This song is horrendous. It is dull in every way imaginable.

This song hasn't been doing too well on the digital charts either. Currently #83 on iTunes, which is kind of low for a lead single. I', not sure if I see this one having enough juice to make the top 10 someday, I could see this flaming out in the 20's again like Young Love did.

This song is horrendous. It is dull in every way imaginable. On the contrary, I think it's interesting. It's certainly more "Kip" than the previous two stabs at singles were. It should continue to do well for him. This song hasn't been doing too well on the digital charts either. Currently #83 on iTunes, which is kind of low for a lead single. I', not sure if I see this one having enough juice to make the top 10 someday, I could see this flaming out in the 20's again like Young Love did. Uh, It's not even Top 30 yet. It's only 7 weeks old. He's not a superstar. This is selling just fine for non star, non-Top 30 single. It shows few signs of stalling at the moment and once it breaks Top 30, I suspect it'll eventually move back up the sales charts and stay inside the Top 30 downloads for the rest of its run. It's not a 'traditionally-leaning' song like Easton Corbin or Josh Turner's (solid) singles so I'd not expect it to sell as low as Easton's has once it gets in the Top 20. But then again, the singles typically continue to see sales bumps when they hit those barriers too.

rsmatto I'm aware that it's only been out for 7 weeks, and that sales will most likely pick up once it crosses the top 30 threshold. But it's not like nobody knows who he is at this point, he's had a couple of big hits already. Other songs around his area on the chart are doing better too, like Old Dominion, Mickey Guyton, Brantley Gilbert, and even Reba, who has a fan base prior to the digital age, is selling slightly better. I'm not writing this song off yet, but I think it's fair to say that many Kip Moore fans would be hoping for a better digital performance so far.

This one sold very well right out of the gate (the core fan-base jumped on it big time). Now it's just about waiting to catch on at radio. This one has been moving a little slower over the last couple of weeks but I think it's doing just fine in regards to both sales and airplay.
Kip really hasn't had a hit in a couple of years now, so it'll take some time for the casual fan/radio listener to "re-discover" him.

I'm not surprised in the slightest that this has slowed down. There's way more competition at this area of the chart, so I don't quite understand why people are concerned already.

If you're referring to me, I'm not concerned in the slightest. I was just asking how the single is doing. And yes, Kip's core fan-base did jump on the digital single quick. And I will say this, Kip's core fan-base is also very HARD core (a lot of it is "underground" as he likes to call it) We are very passionate and supportive and almost protective of him and some of us are really close with him. So when I hear comments like "Ethan Hunt's" - "This song is horrendous, it is dull in every way imaginable," yeah, it really makes me mad. That's just an unnecessary and rude comment, you can at least have some respect. But ANYWAYS, stinks to hear it's stalling a bit but just about every single does at one point or another. Radio seems to be taking to this song just fine and I sure hope it continues. Once it breaks into the Top 30 it should get another push and obviously releasing the video will be a big help as well. I'm actually gonna see if I can find out when they plan on releasing it!

The only singles that are able top plow through the 20's or 30's are the A-list acts (Tim, Jason, Luke, Kenny, Keith, FGL, etc.) Look at some of the acts Kip is battling against. Brantley Gilbert, Rascal Flatts, Dustin Lynch, Little Big Town. All artists that are either established or coming off sizeable hits, and all have been on the chart a fair bit longer.

I understand! Just hope this single hangs in there and starts making some noise again. As far as the negative comments, I'll pass, haha! Way over that! I know not everyone is gonna like everything and that's obviously fine but just wish some people had some respect and could be mature about it is all With that being said and for anyone who cares: I just found out that the music video for this song is suppose to come out next week. Hopefully that'll help and I also can't wait to see it!!!
