Hey sabre14 do you think it's in the cards for I Got The Boy to have a Top 10 finish. It feels like it's really close to the Top 10 but I know the weeks have really piled on now. Also how are the sales for I Got The Boy. "I Got the Boy" has sold 359,000 so far. Impressive. I must applaud Jana for selling that well considering the fact it's still not in the Top 10. Just good music winning in the end.

The WAR promo team will definitely be gunning for a top 10 finish here as they had another full-page ad in Aircheck this evening -- a quirky crossword puzzle, lol.

I can't stop listening to this song--it's great, and hits you right in the feels! I really admire the restraint not only in the vocals, but the lyrics as well; as another poster mentioned, she doesn't resolve the tension at the end of the song, and goes onto say that "we each got something/the other will never have." I appreciate that line and the overall sentiment, because those emotions are not easily reconcilable, and I'm glad the writers didn't stretch that.
The rest of the album, though, is largely disappointing for my sensibilities. Some posters have suggested that "Said No One Ever" will be the next single, and frankly I'm concerned that a rather weak single following a strong one will disrupt the momentum Jana is building right now. Regarding my preferences, I find her far more tolerable than Kelsea Ballerini, whom I'd consider one of her contemporaries. Kramer has a chance to make an impact with this song, and I hope her team does right by her!

I'll be so happy if this goes top ten! Definitely deserving.
Nooooo, the next single has to be Circles or Bullet! >:(

Does anyone think this might have a chance at becoming a crossover hit if they decide to send it to HAC and maybe pop. I hope They push this until Top 5 not just a top 10 here on Country. Though I'm super happy it even went top 20. Now its so close to top 10.
I don't Think her label is stupid enough to send "said no one ever" to radio. I like the song and I personally wouldn't mind it as a single, but I can see how it might be annoying and repetitive to some listener's. I personally want "Circles" or "Boomerang" next. I hope the next single happens post pregnancy to allow "I Got The Boy" to get as high as it can.

Top 49 radio won't touch a REAL country song as stirring and gut-wrenching as this extraordinary single; we're not in the 80s anymore folks.

Top 49 radio won't touch a REAL country song as stirring and gut-wrenching as this extraordinary single; we're not in the 80s anymore folks. There are quite a few Top 40 songs which meet the "soul stirring" or "Gut wrenching" requirement but they're not country. There's likely no way this one hits radio. As for "Said No One Ever" being the next single, signs do point to this because of the sticker on the CDs in stores. But that doesn't mean the label won't change their minds.

This song is like super, super country so I can't see it being a crossover hit, either (and I highly doubt it gets a push anywhere else since those are few and far between as it is).
Disappointed that "Said No One Ever" might be next because that one worries me about how it might do on radio. I'd hate to see them squander what little momentum she has off this release... though we all know damn well even the most radio-friendly uptempo off this album will have a huge uphill battle regardless because country radio isn't particularly keen on back-to-back hits for females unless they're Carrie or Miranda.
I just really hope that "I Got the Boy" can keep it up. Any chance it goes Top 5 or maybe even #1? I really can't turn on the radio without hearing this one all the time and it's selling well so I just feel like it's a possibility this one could snowball into a #1 in the final stretch. If it were a male single selling this well, I'd be pretty confident in thinking this would be at least a Top 2 hit because of the revolving door theory.

Can someone explain why "I Got The Boy" was certified gold if it is over 100,000 away from 500,000 sold (downloads)?

Can someone explain why "I Got The Boy" was certified gold if it is over 100,000 away from 500,000 sold (downloads)? Some thoughts: - nielsen MUSIC does not cover 100% of the sales - Some retailers (brick & mortar and digital) refuse to report sales - On demand video and audio accounts to certification (100:1)

Ewww at "Said No One Ever" being the next single. It should definitely be "Bullet" or "Don't Touch My Radio".

Anyone else hear a bit of Taylor Swift's "Tim McGraw" in this?

Since Dan + Shay and Blake will be falling soon, I hope Warner Nashville will Go full speed ahead with I got the Boy And Give a massive push to the top. Its crazy cause "I Got The Boy" is selling better than both the songs mentioned above. I wonder if they want it on the chart that long though, is the only concern.
I am so happy with the success its gotten this far. I never expected it to go Top 30 much less Top 15.

I expect that this will manage a top 10 peak, but then I think it'll drop like a rock. It's got an extremely high fatigue rate on 2 of the 3 Bullseye callout charts, and so I don't see any way for this one to keep climbing for another 2-3 months (which is how long it would need to have a chance at #1). This one's just way too polarizing to last through the rest of December and all of January.

I hope this song continues to climb if it means Said No One Ever isn't on the radio. The longer this is climbing the more time the label might change their minds and release I don't know Circles.

The longer this is climbing the more time the label might change their minds and release I don't know Circles. either that and this is no.1 by February and they go with circles, pop that bottle, next or boomerang something different so she can keep her momentum going..... Just please no said no one ever I want her to have a huge 2016 not long climb again.... I know it's likely but circles and boomerang sound like hits and both are fan favorites at Jana's shows so I'm comfortable with either those next.

I feel like this would be a good week for Jana to give her final push. Chris Young, Parmalee and Dan + Shay should all drop below "I Got The Boy", and if they max out this week they could most likely leap Sam and grab the #8 position on Billboard. That wouldn't be a bad peak for a song charting over 40+ weeks. It would then allow them to get ready for single #2 towards the end of January.

I got the boy is officially top 10 on mediabase! Her first in almost four years Not to nitpick here, but "Why Ya Wanna" entered the top 10 in August of 2012, so it's only been about 3 years, 4 months. Still a long time, but closer to 3 years than 4. "Why Ya Wanna" didn't fall out of the top 10 until October 2012, so it's been just a little more than 3 years since Jana was present in the top 10.

Good timing (all things considered, its lasted nearly 43 weeks) as "I Got The Boy" will benefit from three songs either going recurrent on MB (Chris Young) and falling below (Dan + Shay, Parmalee) and easily be top 10 by Sunday. Jana will be no worse than #9 and if she can stay ahead of Sam Hunt, she'll be #8. "I Got The Boy" should be at absolute worst, #10 on Billboard come Monday evening.

I still feel like warner is gonna push this a couple more months and wait for Blake, Cam and Tomas to peak/fall, and try to get this top 5. Which could bold well for her next single.

I don't think it will. Radio is sick of it and it's fatiguing too many listeners to warrant the label sticking with it all the way through January of 2016. I suppose anything's possible but I think once Christmas comes, that will be it for "I Got The Boy."

You also could very well alienate radio this way, and that could make them very hesitant to play Jana's next single. The best course of option is to let this song peak now and secure the Top 10. It's not like there is any country radio fan who hasn't heard this song yet, so there's really little reason to keep pushing this other than having a few numbers look prettier.

I don't think "Circles" should be the next single. I just don't think another ballad after this one and "Love" as the lead single will help her. She needs an uptempo like "Don't Touch My Radio" or "Bullet". The latter seems be the most played song on Spotify from this album after IGTB.

I'm willing to compromise and have Don't Touch My Radio be the single. But her album has a lot of good songs that feel more natural like Circles, Dance In The Rain, or Last Song. As long as it's not Bullet, Pop That Bottle, or please never have Said No One Ever be a single.

I think uptempo is a must going foward. Bullet, Boomerang or, Pop That Bottle. Said no one ever is a no go and would honestly hurt her. I think her label will recognize that and not choose it.
I Got The Boy going top 10 this coming week is everything to me!!
