I think almost of Calvin Harris songs can be quoted. His songs are so much bigger in Europe than in the US, it's crazy ! Very surprising that "Last Christmas" by Wham! (very big Christmas classic) peaked only #25 (reached this year !). "Last Christmas" wasn't issued as a commercial single in the US in the 1980s and so didn't make the Hot 100 then, despite much holiday season play. Only recently has one of the constant rule revisions allowed it and many other still-popular Christmas songs to rechart over and over again based on seasonal sales/downloads, airplay, streaming, etc.

Sorry to revive the thread, but I was surprised to see Fine By Me by Andy Grammer only peaked at 84! It seemed like such a big hit to me, but maybe that’s because I listened to Adult Pop radio as a kid and it was fairly big there.

One song I heard a lot on pop radio when it came out was First by Cold War Kids, I didn’t even listen to alt radio when this came out but I swear I heard this so much. Too much on pop for a song that peaked at 5 on bubbling under. Another song is Riptide by Vance Joy, it still gets played so much despite its #30 peak.

The Chainsmokers / Daya - "Don't Let Me Down" (#3)
... I swear that should've been number one.

The Chainsmokers / Daya - "Don't Let Me Down" (#3) ... I swear that should've been number one. It was the #1 song of the year on my local station even though it didnt top billboard.

Michelle Branch - "Everywhere" (#12 in U.S.) Katy Perry - Waking Up In Vegas (it clearly did not peak in the top 5)

Bad Guy feels like a #1 hit to me.
Ditto Señorita and Truth Hurts.
Cross Me stalling at #25 was sad too. Felt like a bigger hit to me.

"Roses" landed their first Top 10, then "Don't Let Me Down" gave The Chainsmokers/Daya both their first Top 3, then it was followed by "Closer", which had more success than the two mentioned.

“Love Someone” by Lukas Graham only made it to #70 but I hear it enough randomly I would’ve thought it hit the top 40.

Ava Max's "Sweet But Psycho" felt like a Top 5 hit despite peaking #10.

Until I really looked into Hot 100 history, I thought for sure that "At Last" by Etta James peaked much higher than it actually did.
I also thought for sure that "Stand By Me" by Ben E. King had been a #1 hit.
Oh well.

I was surprised to see that Carrie Underwood’s Blown Away only peaked at 20. I assumed it was a multi-week top 10.

Some classic rock favourites: “Tiny Dancer” by Elton John (#41) “Rock and Roll All Nite” by Kiss (#68 studio version; #12 live version) Anything by Led Zeppelin other than “Whole Lotta Love” that gets replay (this includes “Stairway to Heaven” and “All My Love” that weren’t commercial singles and so didn’t make the Hot 100 at all) “More Than a Feeling” (#5) and “Peace of Mind” (#38) by Boston (MTAF in particular seems like a sure #1) “Born to Run” by Bruce Springsteen (#23, one of many songs by him I could list)
