IYH managed a Top 10 peak on AC, so at least that wasn't a total loss.
You can look at the "country artist going Pop and getting banned from Country" from both perspectives. I personally tend to go with the thought that Faith, Shania, Martina, etc. all sufferred for releasing Pop/AC-sounding records to Country radio. Of course, in the 80's, people like Dolly, Kenny, Ronnie Milsap, etc. could release all the Pop stuff they wanted and still be fine with Country radio. And it's not like Tim McGraw or Keith Urban have been hurt (yet) simply for releasing their stuff to Pop.
I wish the best for Carrie, and I have no idea how it'll turn out. If I remember correctly, "Let Me Go" had a shaky start, but that one peaked at #2 earlier this year (of course Carrie hasn't already had 3 #1's this decade at the format). Anything's possible.

Fourth most added with 21 adds. If it got 21 adds where the heck are the spins? This song got tested on the new music battle here the other night and lost to a song from Jamiroqui. That pretty much tells me that it isn't going to do well at pop

I’m not sure how committed the label is on this single release. I found out that several stations across the country still haven’t been serviced the single. It could mean that they are targeting markets that are most likely to play the single as a way of boasting sales numbers in those areas. Hopes of this song becoming a hit may hinge on the strength of album sales. If the national sales picture turns out to be a good one, pop radio may be more inclined to embrace this. I really don’t think it sounds that out of place, especially in markets that have had success with songs by Gavin DeGraw and Kelly Clarkson.

I have a feeling they may focus on AC with this one. "Inside Your Heaven" was actually a hit there and this is a far superior song.

I doubt it. If high album sales dictated pop station playlists, Clay Aiken would've had #1 CHR smashes.

With 21 adds she might get in the 50's on CHR/Pop but not much higher than that unless there's a miracle.
I really think they should stay focused on the country/AC markets that are much more receptive to Carrie.

I really think they should stay focused on the country/AC markets that are much more receptive to Carrie. Well, according to R&R, Some Hearts goes for adds on Hot AC next week. They can't do anything with Mainstream AC until next year as AC will be going to holiday music soon.

On the first listen, its ok. Probably a grower. American Idol wise, its another one of their tracks where it has an infectious hook, but lyrically the writing suffers, and may sometimes be unappealing to Pop audiences. This is the case with most rushed post-AI albums (Ruben Studdard's "Sorry 2004", Clay Aiken's "Invisible", Justin Guarini's "Sorry"). When she finally gets to do something on her own for her second record, we might see some more talent out of her. Right now, its give or take, similar to Kelly's situation on her first album.

Invisible was the coolest stalker song since "One Way Or Another".....I loved Invisible!!!

I think she has the most potential of any American Idol besides Kelly Clarkson, I've never seen the big deal over Clay Aiken. This song continues to grow on me and I hope it's a hit for her.
