I think this is not going to make it far on pop.

I would be shocked if this got top 20. I guess it depends on how much the "Kris Allen" name can carry the single, but I just don't see a top 20 showing.
Maybe my opinion will change when I hear the full version.

^Could be, but I doubt it. Still think this will go top 10. Competition is getting too fierce for a top 10 berth for this song. Whatcha Say will likely take Waking Up In Vegas's top 10 spot. Then, Love Drunk and Obsessed will be fighting for top 10 spots vacated by Daughtry and Keri Hilson. By then, Papparazzi and Sweet Dreams will pass The Fray and push their way into the top 10 after Battlefield and Good Girls Gone Bad. After all that, The Fray will just hang out in the mid teens and then fall. I could see a #12 peak for this, if its lucky. But nothing more.

It will definitely replace IGF, it's just a matter of when. I think Kings of Leon will grab the top spot next week and Jay Sean will have to wait one more week.

If this song does not take off on pop or other more mainstream formats, this will not get beyond the lower reaches of the top 10 on AC radio.

"Second Chance" by Shinedown? I know, how quickly we forget. Of course, people can argue about what they consider "alternative". It's all relative.

I love this song with all of my heart, but I really don't see it going much higher. Maybe up 2 spots, but that's about it. I wish Jive would focus on SOS so that it is a decent hit by the time black Friday and the shopping holidays roll around. I don't SOS is going to be that huge. The sampling/cover nature of that song will grow old - fast.

For some reason, I have a feeling this isn't going to be the wondrous hit that people in this thread are hoping it will be. To me, the song was somewhat impressive on first listen, but I just don't see the song or Train themselves being able to power through HAC playlists with this song. I think it will be a Top 20 hit, but I still think its chances for a #1 showing on HAC are small.

Yes, this song has no business on HAC.

I'm not sure if this song will go #1 (as weird as that might sound with these updates).

The main reason why this is not going to number one is because there has been no performance promotion for this song. If she starts getting out there and performing this, then no doubt it would climb. Do you mean on pop radio? I don't think performances would help this get to number 1. The song is too novelty - it was bound to stall.

This is clearly the song that will replace BEP at #1 on CHR Ah, infamous words spoken of other songs too. See the Halo thread...

She always either has big hits or flops. Since this already isn't a flop, it has no choice but to become a big hit. Well that is interesting logic. What about Beautiful Liar? What would you characterize that as? It peaked in the upper teens, so that is not a "flop", but that is certainly not a "big hit." And before you say anything, that song was also a Beyonce song, but it was not JUST Beyonce's song. It was a duet (i.e., not a "featuring" song), so yes it is a Shakira song too.

i never in million years can believe this song would have pass shakira song in two or three weeks time lol. shakira no longer contender and this song gain 1400 updates lol.wow. She Wolf/Loba is (a) a new song from a previous successful pop artist and (b) has some novelty/"gimmicky" aspect to it. It was destined to slow down on pop radio. I am not shocked, and I will not be surprised if She Wolf never made top 10 on pop radio.

I like this. I think that this could go top 30, but I don't know if it can make it top 20.
