I think the video debut will give this a massive bump on the Hot100 at the very least. Hopefully that'll translate into more airplay.

I like it better than OMM, but...another chorus that's just the name of the song repeated? It's vocally a lot more "Ellie" than OMM, which is nice, too.

Looks like she's making the Jingle Ball circuit this year. Probably the reason for the pushed-back adds date, and will give this a great signal boost!

You can definitely hear shades of something "out there" but it's been leveled and diluted a bit too much and all the personality is gone. My main problem with the song is that it doesn't really go anywhere. It's very flat, even with the build at the end of the bridge (the best part of the song), the final chorus returns to the same dull plateau the song was at before. Like the song, but thirsty for a stronger follow up.

She covered the Chic song "I Want Your Love" to be used for Tom Ford's runway show. I was never a big Gaga fan, but I have to say, LOVE this cover. No idea if this is on her new album or if it will be a single, but it should. Check out the video. Fuck me, this is exactly the sound I would want from her on LG5. :'( I'm bald.

Wow, so only one show for each copy of Emotion sold? (I will drag her until she comes to Chicago.)

That's a clickbait over-exaggerating garbage site that focuses on getting page views through social media sharing via INSANE headlines. Look at the other stories on their page:
"The View Could Get Cancelled After Whoopi's Jaw-Dropping Words Left The Entire Studio Speechless" - No, it would never be in danger of cancellation because of something Whoopi said. That's what her job on The View is.
"This is the Most Infuriating Video I Have Ever Seen. I Can't Believe This is Real."

I think Adele would have done a more soulful version of those big notes, but tbh it's probably not the smartest choice for an artist who recently had their vocal chords reconstructed.

I haven't seen any confirmation, but apparently Maitre Gims said that before approving this, Sia asked if she could keep it and release a solo version. Not sure if it'll make the album though.

If this actually starts taking off I will die. :'( Even worse, I bet it shows signs of life for a week, fidgets in the Top 50-40 range for awhile, and then vanishes into the ether because God is cruel.

Saw her last night and was blown away. I liked her before, but now I stan. Insane talent and presence for a new artist, plus her opener was amazing.
So close to the Queen of UK Pop :'(.

Saw them in Chicago this week and loved the show. I have LOTS of observations about their potential and their future, but this song, Ties, Gold, and King slayed live. (Was kind of disappointed in my fav, Shine.)

I just want to start out by saying that this song has slayed me and I'm currently posting as a ghost. 1) I can see why this didn't make Adele's album. It's not the most polished, efficient pop song. It sounds like it could be Rolling in the Chandelier. 2) What it lacks in precision, it makes up in raw, bombastic pathos. This thing is a soaking wet sponge of emotion, and she is wringing it until it's dry. 3) Vocal performance of the year. Sweet baby Jesus, 3:25-3:50 basically vaporizes you. You're just atoms and ash floating through the air.

By releasing the week before Black Friday, she'll be able to get physical copies into retail for their sales. Her second week sales could equal or surpass her first week. She is going to disintegrate our favs...

Fire. Like the evolution of her sound here.
Saw her live earlier this year, and really think she had a lot going for her. Worked her ass off, but needed to develop her stage personality and crowd work a bit.

I'm okay with this! The bridge is amazing, and I'm happy there's a bit of her trademark voice-as-instrument going on in the background here and there. This will be massive live, though I wonder how the vocal will translate.
I think there are bigger and better songs on the album.

She works for Capital FM apparently but after Lucia Cole and Manika and countless others, I trust no bitch on Twitter. I'm just hesitant to believe this isn't a Black Friday drop, unless it's a digital exclusive on iTunes/Apple Music like Beyonce originally was. I'd be shocked if Adele went the digital-only route for the first few weeks. A large portion of her sales would come from people who still buy only CDs. It would be a HUGE benefit to her if Target stocked their shelves by the registered with the new album because people would buy it without hesitation if they saw it there. If there's ever a CD that would be an impulse buy, it's the new Adele one. Plus her appeal is a lot more multi-generational than Beyonce. Mom isn't keeping up to date on iTunes Exlcusives, but she does go to Target weekly.

The fact that she already planned the title from her third album two years ago is amazing. I assume she knew what direction she wanted to go (for her next record) since 2013. April 13th is even before Burn came out (August 2013) She has planned her global domination, we're all dead by tomorrow A Wrath of Khan teas
