You're right, there's probably something up with the chart as it's not up on the website anymore.
*edit- and back again. Guess we'll just see what happens.

Wow, amazing numbers for Taylor yet again. I believe she has already sold near what she's projected to sell, right? Hopefully she's able to exceed her projections yet again. In miami, I saw this in stock only in starbucks.
I don't get the surprise with how Kanye's doing, he has always been one to sell big in his album first week and then have sharp declines. Like, if you take a look at Graduation, it opened with near 1kk and ended up with barely 2kk.
Rihanna's doing great, I believe with half of the projections in, her numbers are nearly enough to get her past gold! Yay. Hopefully WMN? smashes hard to get this past 800k by the end of the year.

it certainly is interesting that he's opening higher than BEP, but in no way (to me) shocking. they are a pop act, and rely completely on singles success to sell albums. granted, all of TI's albums have had huge hits (except for his 1st, "I'm Serious", and that album sold about 150k total), but they've all managed to sell 1 million plus (both "King" and "Paper Trail" sold 2 million). I guess it really is due to the fact that he has little radio/public support on this one. I just assumed he could hit 250k-300k 1st week. Hell, Cudi had higher 1st week numbers and he's not established and had NO hit in sight this time around. I think, more than anything, the fact that "No Mercy" is an unfocused era for him is why it is underperforming badly. I didn't even know the title had changed from "King Uncaged" to "No Mercy" until last week, and I recall T.I. originally saying that the album would represent a "celebration" where "Paper Trail" left off thematically. Then, apparently with the violation of his probation, the whole album was reconfigured into something more pensive and introspective, but they held onto some of the lighter cuts that were recorded earlier, and in the end we're left with an album that sounds more like a compilation of B-sides from the "Paper Trail" era than a proper, cohesive album. Just a hodge-podge of serious, brooding songs mixed awkwardly with bawdy, "I'm all that!" romps. I still think T.I. has a large loyal following, but I've heard from many of his own fans how this doesn't even feel like a true album to them, and more like a gift-pack of holdovers. Hence the sharply-diminished first-week sales from his previous few eras. Namaste, Lisping Hibiscus

I know Kanye's omission has to be a damn glitch. There is no way.

Taylor will be just over 200k or just below it. SuBo sales do not make sense to me at all @54%. But i do not think hits could be that off. It will probably end up around 245k.

Can't really go by a trend anymore with HITS, as far as percentages in and all.

This is very weird... If this is true then initial prediction was very wrong, but I still think this doesn't mean anything.

Hits' building chart means nothing until they have 100% sales reported. We've seen these kinds of situations in the past. For the next update Taylor might be at the same total and Subo could be at 250k. We never know.

Yup, the only thing the building charts are good for is to see what titles will do "at least"....

Yeah. I think HDD should just stop posting incremental updates and just post the 100% chart on Tuesday. This'll stop people from freaking out on Monday.

I find it kind of funny that rihanna is selling 70k this week while in UK she's projected to sell 235k.

Sorry to start this early, but Michael is out.
The label supposedly is expecting 400k.
I'm estimating 150k. That's my initial reaction, but it could be 200k.

At this point, she might top at 1.5 million which is very VERY impressive...for her standards. I read somewhere her record label was actually freaking out before the album came out because they expected it to underperform.

Her X-factor bump isnt going to last the whole week. From the UK midweeks, it says she had a 150% increase, and she sold around 90k last week, so, you do the math. Sure, she'll probably end up around 200k, which is impressive nonetheless. When an artist sells as good as she does WW and only does decent in the US, you know she's not really that much of a disappointment.

I suppose SuBo again could end up with higher numbers with SoundScan results.
Annie Lennox with a nice gain- will it be top 40 on SoundScan?
