Bitter is not a good look on you all. :) Seriously. No matter how this child can be, he still need to make a living. It just surprised me at the comments that people make on this board. Maybe his album's title is fitting for people on this board and hell I don't even like the title. But who in his or her right mind think it is right to wish someone the worse. His actions are his consequences, nobody's else. It does not affect anybody directly so people need to get over it. I could careless if he wants to act like an idiot. He is not harming me.

At least his fans can stop screaming about how "we just want to keep him down and ruin his entire career"-obviously, not that many people care if he beats women or not. music is music. I dont like that he beat Rihanna up (even tho I hate Rihanna) and I dont like his actions yesterday. But art is septate from that.

Wow, he outsold "Loud" by alot....Ugh! Happy for good sales though! Exactly. And she had two big hits going into her album opening. Her dismal US sales and inability to sell tour tickets are just more proof that no one cares about her beyond a current hit song.

You know, this is all based on one day projections. There's still a chance the bad publicity will make his lower than projected. JHud also has Idol and that could bring hers up some as well. I still think he will be #1, but I think it will be closer between him and Jennifer than these predictions state.

I'm sad because his behaviour is overshadowing the music. The album is pretty nice, better than Jennifer's imo.

So typical of America, rewarding trainwreck behavior.

"Loud" debuted with 206k. And technically, Chris has released 4 hit singles from this album prior to it being released, so he should be outselling her the first week. "Loud" has already sold around 1.1M copies in the states, and "F.A.M.E." will probably struggle to get there. I see the album selling similarly to Trey Songz's latest.

That's quite a bold statement considering Loud glided past a million within approximately three months and will be approaching four million internationally within a few weeks. You could debate that her album sales are actually beginning to outweigh her single successes compared to a few of her contemporaries. Also, I'm pretty sure the recent Page 6 rumor regarding her tour was dispelled by reps on E! yesterday and that they have expectations for it to fill out as well; not that the US audience is her prime source of touring success anyway. If we dug a little deeper in the public's investment in her beyond singles, you would find that she was ranked second in regards to highest cover girl magazine sales for last year and her recently launched perfume has been #1 in the markets/retailers it's been released in already; signifying potential for future branding endeavors.

It's really unfortunate that a real American Idol is going to lose out to someone who's anything but.

Also technically "Loud" came out last holiday season on one of the biggest weeks for album sales so she should be selling more, oh wait... But Rihanna has had consistant album sales so these two really don't need to be compared right now until both eras are done.

I'm no fan of Chris's behavior, attitude, or personality, but the hate is a little excessive in this thread atm IMO. The music is separate from his behavior. People aren't rewarding bad behavior. They're rewarding him for doing a good job at what he's employed to do.
As for the Rihanna sales comparison, sure she'll sell more in the long run. She reaches a larger audience that is more likely to purchase. And r&b/hip hop/rap releases are notorious for debuting well and struggling to a million. His sales before GRAFFITI were consistent though (2 million each I think). Don't know if he'll be able to reach that again. Scratch that. He won't.

I thought the whole "he attacked Rihanna" would limit his sales. I don't like him and wish other artists would get his sales, but I'm not up in arms. If people like him and buy his album than so be it, can't fault him. Just suprising that he's able to jump back. But he still seems to be a mess(but that's a different story).

I'm personally rooting for the Strokes. I never "fully" "got" Is This It, so this one is actually my favorite by the group.

I haven't said one bad word about Chris Brown in any thread on Pulse, but it's funny when fans get so mad to see something negative written about him on here. What do you EXPECT to read about somebody with an image as bad as his?!
He is a public figure - he can expect a negative backlash from something like that. When people say "why is it any of your business" it just makes me laugh. If somebody who is in the media does something wrong, of course it's going to be discussed.
But back on topic. I'm not surprised that he still had strong sales, but I was hoping to see Jennifer debut at No. 1

Rihanna has sold over 25 million albums, Chris has not even sold 10 million. And don't get me started on #1's becase Rihanna has the most of any artist since 2005.

If somebody who is in the media does something wrong, of course it's going to be discussed. And still how does this affect any of us? His actions are his actions.I will never quite understand the public eye on other people. If he did this or that and still experience success that means he is not allowing his actions interference with what he intended to do in this business (which is be an entertainer). I have no problem with things being discussed but some comments are beyond cruel. Just as people mention that they think Chris is whatever and so on that does not make you any better than using foul words toward someone that you do not know.
