On another board I frequent, they have a feature that allows you to "like" a certain post. Basically, your name just appears at the bottom of the post saying you "liked" it if you clink on a clink in the corner of the post. (This is similar but unrelated to Facebook liking)
I was wondering if proboards offers any type of similar feature, and whether it would be something Pulse might consider adding.
I like it (no pun intended) because there are often many posts I appreciate but do not want to clog board space with "+1s" or "great post" posts.

This reminds me of something else Facebook has that I'd LOVE to see on Pulse. It would be great if every time somebody quoted one of your posts you got a notification. A lot of the time I post something, someone replies and I miss it because I forget to go back and check the thread. I'm sure that's completely impractical and I know the admins can't make changes like that happen, but it's just something I've always wanted.

What about the "reputation points" system you see on a lot of forums? Is that something that would work on Pulse

On another board I frequent, they have a feature that allows you to "like" a certain post. Just curious: is it a XenForo forum? Love their platform--it's what my forum is on--and I think it's one of the only ones with Likes (at least as a native feature). I searched and couldn't find anything for reputation or post-liking mods on Proboards; it seems their modification userbase is fairly low. :/ I don't think many people even use Proboards these days, to be honest.

ProBoards is very popular, but it's free software, unfortunately we can't expect amazing features out of it.

No, it's a vbulletin board. Very nice. Proboards I think is one of the only free ones? the vbulletin one I am referencing takes donations to stay open.

Proboards is free, but I think many forum owners use phpBB and MyBB these days. *shrug* But yes, vBulletin is a paid software (though I prefer XF; vB's gone downhill lately in my opinion).

Now I can agree without having to post about it.

This kind of concerns me because I'm something of a like whore on Facebook. lol
One thing, can we change it so it says like "David likes this" rather than "David agrees with this"? I just think "like" makes sense in all contexts, whereas if you post an adds date or a photo it looks weird if it says a bunch of people agree with it.

This is why the like button is pointless.

This is why the like button is pointless. Yeah, there should be a rule to just like if you have nothing to say other than "+1" or "I agree".

It is so silly. Waste of my bandwidth.

Actually, I meant to make it say "+1" instead as it covers more ground rather then "agree" or "like".

I noticed it stopped in my Firefox for some reason but still does in Safari. EDIT: Nevermind. It seems fine now.

I still say there should be a script to allow you to view what posts you've liked / which posts of yours were liked. That is if it's even possible.

Is it just me, or have all the likes from before a certain point disappeared?

I wish there was a way to be notified when somebody likes your post.
