A likely 10th week atop the BB 200 for Ms. Adele Laurie Blue Atkins- terrific run.

So Gaga will dip below 100k next week?

^I'd think so- at these numbers, a 5% drop or more would put it under 100K.

2 1 ADELE XL/COLUMBIA 113,827 -6% 21 1 2 LADY GAGA INTERSCOPE 105,742 -38% BORN THIS WAY
Love how consistent Adele is, clocking yet another week at #1 !!
8 7 JASON ALDEAN BROKEN BOW 40,642 +24% MY KINDA PARTY 5 8 BRAD PAISLEY ARISTA NASHVILLE 37,338 -28% THIS IS COUNTRY MUSIC
Wow, Jason's album is soo consistent, thanks to his duet with Kelly and his current smash, 'Dirt Road Anthem'. In the same way that I am shocked that Adele's 6 month or so album has overtaken Gaga's 3 week old album, I am equally shocked about Jason Aldean's almost 8 month old album has overtaken Brad's 3 week old album ! :o

Jason also performed on the CMT Awards last week. I don't think that Brad did.

Gaga's sales are close to 1.4 million after 3 weeks. Not bad for a flop. Should pass 1.5 million in the fifth week which, according to people here, is an absolutely massively huge successful selling album. And she will do it in 5 weeks.
Adele is unstoppable. I hope radio will give her a second hit. It is iffy considering how she doesn't make party music.

I think it's clear that the public is responding to her music in an overwhelming way. As long as they pick a somewhat radio-friendly song, like "Set Fire to the Rain" or "Someone Like You," radio will play it because people want to hear Adele right now.

Or the second single could be "Rumour Has It".

Gaga's sales are close to 1.4 million after 3 weeks. Eh, true but in 6 months where will it be? 1.8 million? And no, according to people here, that is most certainly not an "absolutely massively huge successful" album. Katy Perry is constantly picked at for selling 1.5 million when her singles have been monsters and her promo has been huge. Considering Gaga's promotion has been muuuch bigger and she's considered to be slaying the industry 10x over, if in 6 months she's at 1.8 million you know that's gonna be seen as a hot flop. It should really only come as a surprise to people who expected her to reach "The Fame/Fame Monster" sales anyway. A lot of other people knew this era was going to be a frontloaded era with not so great legs.

I didn't expect it to be this frontloaded though. Let's say 75% of it's year-end sales made in the first 3 weeks?

And another increase for Katy, she should go up again next week because of the LFN video :)

This is a standard third week drop and the second week drop was obviously due to the amazon deal. People are really grasping at straws to try to turn these numbers into negatives.

Er for the album to be at 1.8 million six months from now it would sell an average of about 15k a week from this week on, not to mention those six months include the hefty 4th quarter sales. She'd have to fall out of the Billboard top 100 within the next couple months or so for this to become even vaguely possible.

I agree it sucks for Interscope/Distributers . But she's probably just going back to her 20-50K a week sales. The hype died down. Which was bound to happen.
I will keep repeating myself but unless the next single (4th single, after this) fails completely, she should pull off 2.5 by the end of this era. Maybe more/less, it depends what she does.
I'm more intrested in Christmas time, what she does with this era, or doesn't.

IF she gets to 2.5 million, that's in NO WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM a flop by ANY artist's standards in TODAY'S CLIMATE. sorry for all of the caps, but some people just can't seem to get the relative nature of statistics through their skulls. also, she sold 2mil+ worldwide in the 1st week. so, yeah, she'll be fine. if having a multiplatinum album makes an artist a flop, sign me up.

Or the second single could be "Rumour Has It". That would be an amazing second single. Truly a crossover hit waiting to happen.

We all keep talking about Gaga's sales in December. I would think it won't be that high. Christmas season albums tend to favor the new releases of the day, not something released 7 months earlier

Albums that stayed consistent throughout the year have the potential to see a nice increase during the Holidays. Eminem entered the top 10 again in December.
Of course, that all depends on how she holds up this year.

Let's remember that in the month before BTW's release, as Judas flopped, several people on Pulse were predicting 350-500k opening weeks (or worse). 2 million seems like the minimum by year's end, I'm thinking closer to 2.5m. That's before touring/awards/possibly more singles.
I'm hoping for 75-80k next week for Gaga.
I'm a little tired of singing Adele's praises but what the hay...WOW. Has she ever been out of the top 3? Has she even been #3? Anyone have her chart run?
