Like I've said before, this is not a good choice for a single (even though I love it). She needs something that will go top 10 at pop and this will not do it imo. It's way too throwback R&B for pop radio to embrace it. Countdown or End of Time please! As much as I love this song and her performance, I kind of agree with you. Countdown and End of Time have better shots at CHR success. I fully expected her to perform one of them at the VMA's and then announce it as the next single. I wonder why she didn't? Either of those songs would be smashing in the top 5 of itunes just like this one if she performed them.

Hmm.....is this really next? Its a good song, but Party would have even been a better choice for Pop. ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png)

I've been the biggest supporter of Countdown and Party, but releasing this right now is a very smart choice.
Because of the pregnancy announcement and the VMA performance, this song definitely has the hype, and it is already doing well on iTunes They have every reason to ride on the early success of this song, with all the positive press she is getting lately, it is not hard to make this a hit, not to mention the video for this has been shot. They need good momentum right now, and VMA definitely provided that, and the radio will recognize it. This song's success will get her the momentum BTINH never did, and the following singles (Countdown, End of Time or Party) will only benefit from this release.

Countdown or End of Time are the pop smashes! I really don't see this doing anything. And there is no adds date so I'm hoping it's not the single. Columbia isn't on the ball with single releases this era.

I think a lot of Beyonce fans are overthinking the situation. She has nothing to lose with this release, it has already almost made it into the Top 5 on iTunes. If the radio doesn't support this, they can immediately jump to Countdown, the momentum wouldn't change much, it's not like BTINH was a smash or anything...

I think Bey really could use a song like this to boost this era. Softer songs have gained traction recently if the song is really good. There really isn't much to worry about, this era needs a BIG hit and what's the harm in taking a chance with this?

#9 on iTunes. Looks like this will debut higher than RTW.

I love this song. I hope this smashes BIG! It's a straight forward R&B record and I LOVE IT! ![](http://yoursmiles.org/ssmile/fun/s0270.gif)

Something is off with Beyonce this era, I really don't care for many of her newer songs and think she needs to take a break and release an comeback reunion album with Destiny's Child.

I think it's the perfect time for Bee to release a "Hits" compilation. I also was thinking about it the other day while listening to DC, that there IS a good chance they will want to get the group back together. Think about it, they're going to be reunited for Bee's baby shower and everything else. Celebrating it and reminiscing on how far they have come, it could happen. I mean, it's not like a guarantee, but it's possible. I really would love a DC comeback album. However, Beyonce solo is amazing too. It really just doesn't matter to me. As long as I get my Bee fix somehow.

The pre-chorus is so strong on this!!!
I can't wait to see what video she comes up for this. I want the same look of the VMA performance.

The gap between #10 and #11 is huge btw, so its not even close to falling out.

How magical would it be if Destiny's Child AND Nsync reunited at the same time

NSYNC does not need to get back together. JT needs to release a new solo album, though. It's so hard to stan for JT when he seems to care about everything but music.

I remember listening to clips from 4 on iTunes. This was the only track that really stood out to me. I didn't realize how good it actually was until her VMA performance. It's easily the best song on the album, in my opinion.

On "top" of this being in Top 10 for several days now, this is a FAR stronger week for digital sales than the week RTW came out. I can't wait to see what sales are. I wish radio would pick this up faster!

The best song on the album for me is "Rather Die Young" or "Party." You can't go wrong with this song though. It's so euphoric in its sound.

Love this track! It's still Top 10 on iTunes nearly 5 days after its debut performance, which is pretty damn good!

I would even say LOT is becoming my favourite song ever. Everyone seems to be loving it. I don't know why it's taking them so long to release it!
