She should've performed Countdown on the VMA's and released it to pop radio the next week. SMASH! Such a missed opportunity. But maybe she's just focusing on her family and doesn't care about this era anymore. But why release an album now then?

Mmm I love this song. Sounds really fresh and sweet, but I doubt it'll do anything on pop.

What a disasterous drop on the Hot 100, down 20-70.

This has lost any momentum that it had after the VMA's and after 2 underperforming singles on Pop, this is going to have an uphill road to make an impact on the format.

This seems to have been removed from both FMQB and R&R. Guess they decided to not go forward w/ this after all?

Yup, it has been taken off the list.^ It's probably not getting sent for adds. Is it already the end of this era? ???

Good, maybe they're coming to their senses.
I really don`t know what they should do though. Party obviously has to go to Urban. "End of Time" is probably their best bet for pop but then will urban play both at the same time or just let EOT flop?
They definitely should NOT just end the era for pop, EOT/Countdown can do some damage at least.

This era is over for pop. EOT/Countdown might make a small splash, but I don't know...I don't see the point. Let people figure out she has a fabulous album on their own. If they are only here for pop hits, they wouldn't like it anyway. (I can be a snob now because I have recently come to love 4 ![:smokingdiva:](http://i.imgur.com/t6wcd.jpg) )

Oh well. This is an amazing song but like I said a couple pages earlier, radio success is completely different thing.
I wouldn't want this song to be tainted by a bad chart performance anyway, they should go ahead and send EOT for pop.

CHR was more patient 5 years ago when the first B'Day singles underperformed. Not so anymore.

They should forget about a new CHR/Pop single. The first two singles didn't do well, so there's no reason to believe anything else will. "Best Thing I Never Had" is #2 in contention for #1 at Urban right now, and "Party" is Top 40 there without an adds date. They should send "Party" for adds at Urban and Rhythmic and continue to worry about those two formats.

End of Time or Countdown is this era's last hope for a smash.
all the other songs will get moderate success.

I can't believe Beyoncé might not get a single top 10 from this album. Her team was much smarter with her last album.

No doubt there have been problems regarding timing and other things, but the main issue is the material itself. This is not a pop album. Bey knew what she was recording and had to know there wasn't much there to appeal to pop listeners, so apparently she doesn't care about that. She recorded what she wanted and it's very different to her pop smashes from the last album. No one can expect the same results, regardless of who her management is.

But there are pop friendly songs on this album. Boo at them shelfing my favorite song. But the whole she created an "r&b album" and knew it wasn't going to appeal blah blah blah...dangerously in love was more urban and had fewer pop songs...run the world is more in line with dance and can be considered similar to lose my breath with the pop undertones...I don't buy it. If she would have released a ballad first I would see the risk but she put out a dance song female empowerment song. The risk that b said after rtw is just damage control. Well there goes my prediction for top 10. I'm down for countdown, party and closing with end of time. I guess this thread will be locked soon....sigh

The songs from DIL released in 2003, a very Rhythmic/Urban time for Pop radio. It's completely different in 2011.

Yes, then when 'Countdown' is a certified Urban and Rhythmic smash that Pop can't deny they can release it there.

wow, i have to say i'm surprised that this has been cancelled. i never thought it was a great idea to begin with but i'd gotten used to the fact. so is party going to be the 3rd official single all round? end of time/countdown should be sent to pop.

Well, if this has been cancelled, 4 is officially dead on pop. Stupid move.
EOT and CD will perform similarly to Taylor Swift's "The Story of Us." Mark my words.

I read this is getting released in the UK as a double A-Side with "Countdown".
