www.youtube.com/watch?v=qkqUTY3G13M1:35 even the adlibs and shouts that were "meant" to sound live were not even live, b/c she missed her cue there a couple time & the entire first verse is obvious that she wasnt singing there also 2:51: she missed the cue to mouth that part also 3:06: just look at how obvious it is there ... besides it blatantly sounding like a recording, the way she covers her mouth makes it even more obvious b/c that is lipsyncing 101 & she never does that in any of her other live performances fyi i'm not bashing her b/c it was undeniably a hot performance, i'm just saying it was not live ...... Tee hee...point taken.

^ Omg did you really scour that performance looking for moments where she wasn't singing? ![](http://i40.tinypic.com/2rgkp60.jpg) The only part where you have a point is the 3 minute mark but even so, the fact still remains that she she sung some parts and let the track play in others and really, what's the problem with that? ??? Pretty much every popstar does that. You can clearly hear her live a couple times during the performance, but that's not even what it was about. Oh, dear.... ![:-[](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/embarrassed.png) So is this an official next single or what? I feel like I want to know when the video is coming out and I have not seen a radio update recently.

I'm not sure about the first verse, but according to someone I know that actually went to the award show as a +1, she definitely sang the 2nd verse live after the mic change. She is not a Beyonce fan so she wasn't st@nning. Just saying.

Love this song! Lip-synched or not, that was one hot performance at the VMAs. Go get that smash, gurl!

I loved everything about that performance, but when I first watched it, I thought some of it--especially the early parts--were lipped. But then I forgot about it and continued to enjoy the song and went on to purchase the rest of the album and have come to really appreciate what she did with it.

The only stations to officially add "Love On Top" thus far are WVEE in Atlanta (Urban) and WJMZ in Greenvile, SC (Urban AC).

Its like "Oh you actually watched the video to find some evidence of your point instead of pointlessly trolling?". I think she sang some, and lipped some. It is what it is. She can sing, she can perform, & I've never seen her lip before.

I think it's kind of weird when people go through videos and meticulously determine which parts of the vocals are lipped and which aren't (particularly common among Mariah Carey fans), but to each his own.

Who CARES if she lipped? It's not like Beyonce can't sing or hasn't proven herself to be one of the best, if not the best performer out there right now. She sings and dances her ass off. She didn't do it once, or a couple of times...big deal lol.

Lipping isn't a big deal when the person can actually sing and give a good performance. If the performance is great, then lipping doesn't even matter.

I don't think it's weird people going through videos to find evidence of lipping.
Continuing on this garbage about Beyonce miming, by pointing to phony evidence and conspiracy is tiring at best. If you stare at something long enough, you can make yourself or others believe something that isn't there. Seriously. Watch a performance like Adele's Someone Like You. If enough people told you emphatically that it was mimed, you'd start to think twice. Your mind plays tricks, you discover things that are 'off', things that don't add up. When really it's just a bad mixture of imagination and delusion.
Televised performances are cut together in a number of different ways. Beyonce obviously uses reverb, which tends to make her lines linger and overlap through one another. Which can make it look that there's sound coming out of her mouth despite the fact she's not moving it. That coupled with the fact her performances tend to feature not only loud backing vocals, but also a backing track of her singing herself (mainly on the choruses)...I guess to try and give it this fuller sound. Hell it works. The VMAs were live, so were the Billboard awards.
But this idea that she mimed is entirely made up. Why would she need to? She's sung far harder things doing far more with her body than she did at the VMAs. She sang Love On Top in New York a couple of weeks before. Was that mimed too? How about every other performance from her? It has to stop somewhere. There's no logic to suggest she'd never need or want to lip sync anything. She's proved a thousand times over she can dance and sing at the same time better than any other popstar on the planet. Sure we could say, 'oh well it's a difference of opinion', but this kind of thing can't be allowed free reign, or else it would never stop. It's boring, but it's also just phony and false, and this idea that you can make something true just by saying it is ludicrous.
EDIT: I checked all the time stamps on that 'proof video' up there for the Billboard Awards. I put it to full screen and on 720p. It's NONSENSE. She doesn't 'miss her cue' at 1.35. She shouts 'HEY' and her mouth makes the same movement (why wouldn't it? Who needs to lip sync 'HEY' anyway?). Nothing at 2.51. Her mouth moved 'COME ON', the sound that comes out is 'COME ON'. No, nothing is blatant at 3.06. Nothing. She's singing and the words she's singing match her mouth movements. But then again, why wouldn't they? It doesn't sound like a recording, it doesn't look like one. She doesn't miss a second, and the reason she doesn't is because she isn't lipping. ENOUGH.

And for the record, Adele wasn't lipsynching this at the vma's either. ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png)

Actually, in your signature, Adele is categorically miming to Beyonce's song. There's your proof.

It's still Top 20 with next to no airplay 10 days after the VMAs... I'm not sad. ![](http://yoursmiles.org/ssmile/fun/s0244.gif)

This is a good record. I'm not sure why it's two weeks away...but maybe this gives Beyonce an opening.

Yes, I'm not sure why they're waiting to release it to radio on the 20th, today or last Tuesday would of been perfect. Hopefully they release the music video next week then, since it's already been shot. That can help to stabilize it on ITunes until the airplay starts to pick up.

Wow at this having an adds date. I'm interested in seeing how it will do on Pop. This is going to be a very diverse fall this year with all of the major divas releasing surprising singles.

I have a really good feeling about this. The same feeling I had about "You & I". :)
