One aspect of the On-Demand chart that I don't believe has been addressed (unless I missed it)- likely fewer Glee entries on the Hot 100? And also non-single entries when a major album is released. Nicki only had "Beez In the Trap" at 78 and "Va Va Voom" at 79. Beez likely only charted because of its recent video, and a little Urban airplay. Without On Demand being a factor, she would likely have a couple more (non-single) entries.

And sales evidently count much, much less... I don't think the Glee songs will fare anywhere near as well as they're used to.

^I get the impression that the roll-out to On-Demand services is not always as immediate as it is for iTunes. Since Glee depends entirely on that first week of availability, that would hurt it too.
I actually highly highly doubt they would do well on ODS anyway. Same with all the Taylor Swift one-off tracks too.

One with universal appeal who isn't the butt of every "gay" joke on 9Gag. "Gay" jokes mean he's less male? It means the entire public is not here for him. And I'm gay myself btw, no need to go with the PC-altert subtext.

"Gay" jokes mean he's less male? I think he was going more for lack of universal appeal meaning he's less of a major artist... The gay joke part of the comment was pretty unnecessary to making the point, although it did, of course, raise an almost-entirely different point. It was an exaggerated example, my point is that most males would not openly admit to liking Justin Bieber because there is a huge stigma around him and therefore he is not the kind of universal appeal superstar that has been lacking in the music industry.

I would say it's more of an age thing with Justin. Until this song, his target has always been preteen and younger girls but now there's an attempt at making him more appealing to others judging by the company he'll be keeping on his new album. If Jesse McCartney can score a #1 pop hit, I think it's only a matter of time before Justin can.
I think the last major solo male has either been Bruno Mars or Justin Timberlake. All Justin T needs to do is put out a new record and he could own all the males once again. Snatching jockstraps or whatever the male equivalent of snatching wigs ends up being.

One with universal appeal who isn't the butt of every "gay" joke on 9Gag. He has universal appeal. Who checks 9Gag? Is that a "thing"? 9Gag is a thing for people who don't know how to use the internet properly... But dubious status of that site aside, it's true that straight men of a certain level of immaturity have limited interest in Bieber, and that's a pretty big group of people.

Snatching jockstraps or whatever the male equivalent of snatching wigs ends up being. Usher as well, who despite years of massive hits still seems like a bit of an underdog. He's arguably the single most successful solo male of the past decade, including at Pop (even with his "#2 curse"). I guess that's because his singles go back and forth with catering to Urban only, but his Pop track record is definitely impressive and still puts him close to the top.

The 7-day-rolling gain at pop for "We Run the Night" stands at +83- not sure if it's peaking or what.

I think it was supposed to be a "joke". Hilarious.
Anyway, I thought Havana Brown was still kinda "current" as it may appear to be stalling but it does get small gains.

With the week ending it seems like STIUTK will sell enough to be no. 1. The question is whether it'll be over 500k or not.
