There's nothing wrong with her teeth. Born This Way wasn't bad because of how aggressive it was—for me, at least. I love most of this record and it's pretty aggressive so far. The former was bad because she worked with very mediocre talent. Here for it. Production is bigger than she is, though. I'm ok with that. Most impressive production on the album so far. The production reminds me of the instrumental hook in Frankie Goes To Hollywood's "Relax" after the choruses. YES that's it, thank you. I was like "where have I heard this before"? It specifically makes me think of the Powerman 5000 cover they used in Zoolander lol. Lol this album is mainly produced by the same producer as BTW (DJWS). And BTW is her best album IMO - I love almost every track. I think a lot of her biggest fans feel the same way.

No, the main producer on Born This Way was Fernando Garribay.
So yeah. Also, I hate the album, and that's my fucking opinion. Problem?

This will forever be hilarious! Easily one of the top 3 gifs of the era so far along with the "Praying for your faves"-gif in my avatar and one of the VMA's gifs.

The album comes out in a little under 5 days in Japan. This has apparently been shipped, or is just about to, for Japan. It's going to leak any time now.
SO FUCKING EXCITED.

I've seen a picture on Twitter with a Japanese fan holding up the album, so it's totally out in the wild now. I think it's time for me to stay away from anything Gaga related. I want to leave some songs as a surprise. Enjoy the songs you guys.

This whole era really feels like The Fame Monster for me again. I've seen many people rooting for her after the disaster that was Born This Way for her reputation.

I lived in South Beach, and Born This Way was blasting everywhere I went. If it weren't for Pulse, I never would have attached the word disaster to this project.

I don't want this to leak because I don't want to have to make the choice of whether or not to listen to it beforehand :(

I think I am going to stay away from the leak and wait for the official release, but God I am desperate for new good pop music. I feel like we have had a dry spell only partially filled by Selena having some fun songs on her cd lol. Maybe I will get the new Avril and Arcade Fire and have them tide me over.
Gaga is about to enter a very exclusive LPL club if I end up liking this cd. I rarely EVER like more than 2 entire cds from an artist.

Does she have international promo lined up? Cause this album is set to come out without a current hit on the charts outside the US.

Is "Fashion" the same track that cow Heidi Montag snatched up? Cuz Gaga's version is amazing.

I want it. Is "Fashion" the same track that cow Heidi Montag snatched up? Cuz Gaga's version is amazing. Naw that's 'Fashion'. This is 'Fashion!' with an incredibly important exclamation point. Does she have international promo lined up? Cause this album is set to come out without a current hit on the charts outside the US. Did 'Applause' really do that poorly overseas?

I think Applause did ok, but the issue is it is off the charts now pretty much everywhere except the US. I wish they would launch DWUW hardcore right now if that is the plan just to get something started. They are probably hoping it will sell ok just off her name and presales/Applause though and then the second single will come in time to help it for the holidays.

Did 'Applause' really do that poorly overseas? acharts.us/song/79615Outside the US, it's done in most places. And if it hit the top 10 there, it left over a month ago. That, combined with the international underperformance of the last 2 singles from BTW doesn't put her in a good spot. Even if it opens well, it's unlikely that it will stick around the upper parts without hits.

Oh no I agree with you on all of that, I just haven't paid a lick of attention to its performance overseas and assumed it would have done better.
I'm sure she'll do more overseas promo than X Factor. She'll need to to get 'Do What You Want' going anywhere. Call me crazy, but I actually think it may be a good idea to make 'Venus' the international single in this case.

Idts. It has a strong hook(s), and that Chorus is straight 80s Eurotrash. They'd probably take to it pretty well across the pond.

Yeah some countries are way more open to those types of songs. I was actually thinking they may do a split single at some point and release Venus worldwide, but not in the US. But, who am I kidding, Gaga would make Venus be the single everywhere and watch it flop in the US

That is probably exactly why I like it-I am a big fan of NIN, did enjoy a lot of Marilyn's earlier work, and enjoy a heavy, aggressive beat on songs (Muse have a few that are just pure heaven). Definitely not for everyone though. This reminds me that I need to go catch up on NIN actually. Believe it or not, I was a big fan of NIN at one point...and Muse is one of my favorite bands, especially live. I just don't particularly need GaGa to fill that void, musically, when I already have bands doing it better. I actually like most of BTW but my favorite GaGa songs of hers are the pure dance ones. Doesn't mean I won't enjoy this album though.
