Very small slide on the Billboard 200 this week...slightly helped by the fact that the other albums are having bigger drops after their initial Grammy surge.
Sides 59 - 64 on the Billboard 200 this week.

I don't think it matters at this point. I mean she makes a bulk of her money from touring anyway, so why not focus on promoting the tour and getting those funds.

She has changed her style a billion times but my favorite one remains the look she had on that motorcycle in the Judas video.

Aside from the face protrusions and the 70s sci-fi vibe for the first single, pretty much the whole Born This Way campaign had this entire 80s L.A. Biker Prostitute vibe throughout it. |

She looks fine overall now imo (much better than the early-mid 2009 chubby bunny look). The problem is when she does the really long straight hair which makes her seem at least 10 years older than she actually is.  Aside from the obvious wigline, this looks good to me. What does Barbara Walters have to do with it? |

May 4th seems so far away and couldn't seem to come any slower! Until my show, I'd personally love a single release, a new music video, and a few more television appearances. I still hear DWUW and Applause, but we're all BEYOND ready for the next radio smash and no more silence from Gaga!

It doesn't seem like any "big name" artists are putting music out right now besides Katy Perry and the rest is just recycled crap from years ago. Pop radio is boring to me right now IMO. I need that dance smash I know Gaga has in her. |

If we're just talking about videos, I think the Judas vid would be considered iconic if the song hadn't been a flop. The vid is pretty flawless. Yeah picking out her peak to me is more complex than just saying Telephone was it. Musically, I enjoy Born This Way and Artpop as much as Fame Monster and way more than Fame. Video-wise, I do agree she has slipped. Judas is her last great video for me. There are brief moments of greatness in some of her other videos, but not really a cohesive result overall. Judas was damn near perfect (and it is one of her most viewed videos even above some of her much, much larger hits). I think Judas also highlights one issue I have with her now. Every look in that video is perfect pretty much-perfect clothes, amazing make-up, every little detail was put together and polished. Look at that screencap-her nails, her make-up, the hair, the outfit-it all looks like an amazing, cohesive look. I feel like her looks now are so, so sloppy in comparison. She just throws on bras and panties too often now or doesn't have the same polish with make-up or overall looks. Think about how stunning this could have been with a little effort? I know these are candids/performance pics, but still. I am writing another novel, but I guess, for me, musically she is still pleasing me, but something went off about her looks which bleeds into her videos where it all just looks a bit sloppy and amateur. I wonder if it is because she has pretty much separated from everyone in her original team? Even great artists (which I believe Gaga is) need a good team grounding them and guiding them. I think Gaga lost that a long time ago. Edit-Ok, some of her Applause looks were pretty damned amazing. I had forgotten about some of those. |
