LPL: It's been too long since last time she released a damn video that is easy to forget I agree that her performance looks this era have not been the best though. Judas, and even Y&I seemed more ArtPop than Applause and whatever she was thinking for DWUW. She's had her wtf moments each era though: Alejandro and Edge of Glory but then she recovered. Hope she does now... But something's really off. Lately all seems more arts and craft than art/fashion. She has it in her but needs to get back to listen to others and focus sm

I need everyone to back the fuck off of the "Alejandro" video. It's my favorite music video ever. It was brilliantly done, perfect balance of darkness and beauty.

I've alway liked Gaga. She's a brilliant artist and I feel that something big is on the horizon to clear up this unanswered strange era.

And I thought Born This Way was one of your favorite albums. It has nothing to do with me, I'm saying the Gaga that the GP was stanning for hardcore peaked with Telephone, and interest started slipping after that.

Don't you want to tell me that she's also Italian? :o

Yeah picking out her peak to me is more complex than just saying Telephone was it. Musically, I enjoy Born This Way and Artpop as much as Fame Monster and way more than Fame. Video-wise, I do agree she has slipped. Judas is her last great video for me. There are brief moments of greatness in some of her other videos, but not really a cohesive result overall. Judas was damn near perfect (and it is one of her most viewed videos even above some of her much, much larger hits). I think Judas also highlights one issue I have with her now. Every look in that video is perfect pretty much-perfect clothes, amazing make-up, every little detail was put together and polished. Look at that screencap-her nails, her make-up, the hair, the outfit-it all looks like an amazing, cohesive look. I feel like her looks now are so, so sloppy in comparison. She just throws on bras and panties too often now or doesn't have the same polish with make-up or overall looks. Like, what the f**k is this? assets7.gcstatic.com/u/apps/asset_manager/uploaded/2013/43/lady-gaga-x-factor-2013-1382955335-custom-0.jpg I came up with a better random mermaid-like outfit in an hour before a Halloween party when I was 20 and in college. Or this nycprowler.com/prowler/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/Screen-shot-2013-08-15-at-5.47.05-PM.pngI LOVE the idea of off-center rainbow make-up, but this is embarrassing. Think about how stunning this could have been with a little effort? I know these are candids/performance pics, but still. I am writing another novel, but I guess, for me, musically she is still pleasing me, but something went off about her looks which bleeds into her videos where it all just looks a bit sloppy and amateur. I wonder if it is because she has pretty much separated from everyone in her original team? Even great artists (which I believe Gaga is) need a good team grounding them and guiding them. I think Gaga lost that a long time ago. Edit-Ok, some of her Applause looks were pretty damned amazing. I had forgotten about some of those. I thought "Applause" was painfully close to the immaculate Gaga of TFM days. Each costume is a variation of the idea of a "Performer" and each is visually distinct and memorable, but it never quite gels into something coherent. It almost feels like she was giving an overview of the characters we were going to meet in each video for the era before it fell apart. Venus is in there, after all.

I don't agree. 2010, the year, was definitely her peak. I wouldn't point to just the "Telephone" video. She had the biggest crowd ever on morning television in July when she was on the Today show. She broke the VMA nomination record that same month.

I still think her best video to date is "Paparazzi".

Yes Lord! As much as I love ARTPOP, it did have a high burn rate for me compared to her other efforts. Maybe I just played it too much when it released being that it was a pop emergency savior and all.

It's good to see her happy and creating some more tunes. Hopefully, the new album's era isn't a messy one.

The album climbed 64-61* this week on the Billboard 200, in its 15th week on the chart.
Was the vinyl released last week? It debuted at No. 4 on the vinyl albums chart.

Nothing will top the Paparazzi, Bad Romance, Telephone triple. 3 amazing and flawless videos in a row. At the same time we're harsh on Gaga's videos because she set the bar very high for herself.

I think 'Marry The Night' is her best video.

I'm excited for new music, hopefully an EP that radio can gag on.
But I'm also prepared for a Jewels N Drugs Remix EP.

Yeah seems like a new cd is looking more likely. There is no way they expect to throw out any of the Artpop songs now and expect it to restart a pretty much dead cd almost two months after the last single peaked. Still amazes me we will only get one video from the entire Artpop era.
I am here for new music though. She could release a new cd every year and I would probably still buy it.

This is the total opposite of my viewpoint on her a couple of years ago, but at this point I'd love to see her come back with a bright uptempo for summer.

This will be interesting to see what unfolds, I just can't see Artpop 2 being any more successful than Artpop. The next "new" single may do well, but the album as a whole, I would be shocked, but I may also be very surprised.

Yeah the song would have to be huge for the album to do a lot better. I also hope she doesn't stick with Artpop 2 or Artpop Volume 2 for the title.

I think it'll probably be a play off of Artpop, both as a way to claim it as a new project without openly admitting the underperformance of the original album, and to tie it in to ArtRave promo. So, maybe even just call it ArtRave?

I hope her team is at least somewhat cognizant of the fact that the music was not really the issue with her last release. She needs an image and publicity overhaul to move her back to being someone that people enjoy. If the Born This Way era hadn't turned her public perception into such a pretentious art freak then Artpop could have definitely been a great era for her at radio. Applause, Do What U Want, GUY, Venus and Gypsy (racial slur notwithstanding) could have all been big (or in the case of Applause and DWUW bigger) if people were interested in new Lady Gaga music.
