With Shania.nothing is a sure thing anymore. Everyone thought the first few singles from UP would be smashes (due to the five year wait after the blockbuster successof COO) and yet, all 7 out of 8 singles from the album either underperformed or flopped-IGGG, U ,SNJAPF,IOHWIB, TYBFMSCSS,WYKM and K.)
And even I thought PF2 would actually reach the top five...yet with Don't, it was as clear as day that it would flop, and yet I heard many of her fans saying that it would be a smash , etc.
Who knows...maybe on AC it will peak in the top 20...

I am going to scream it one more time and then ignore you everytime you mention it: THANK YOU BABY, KA-CHING!, AND WHEN YOU KISS ME WERE NEVER SINGLES IN THESE WONDERFUL UNITED STATES NOR IN CANADA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![/I] However, Ka-Ching! peaked #2 on the European charts and "Thank You Baby" and "When You Kiss Me" went Top 10 there. In the UK, "Up!" and "She's Not Just A Pretty Face" were pulled and "Forever and For Always" was a smash. In the US, "I'm Gonna Getcha Good!" peaked #7, "Up!" peaked #12, "Forever and For Always" peaked #4, "She's Not Just A Pretty Face" peaked #9, and "It Only Hurts When I'm Breathing" peaked #18. I don't think that's a "flop" anywhere across the board. Back to topic --> give "Dont'!" a few more weeks. There have been hits, even #1s, that did the same thing Don't is doing... :)

I doubt that Don't will have a (what, third, fourth, fifth?)wind on the country charts...but who knows, stranger things have happened... That's interesting about the tastes in different parts of the world... Ka-Ching did have vast success in Europe,as opposed to the chilly reaction it got here in America...
I wonder how many more days before Don't is turned into a recurrent on Mediabase...'t's been losing spins for two days in a row now, right?

What in the BLUE HELL are you talking about??!!?! Kaching was NOT...I repeat, NOT released in the USA!! Neither was Thank You Baby, they were EUROPEAN ONLY releases, the same way that Up! and She's Not Just A Pretty Face were only released in the US! What part of THAT do you NOT understand? ...so stop bringing up insignificant things over and over because it is just showing how ridiculously clueless you are![/rant]

Take it up with Mediabase, I only report what they post. And BTW, Billboard's numbers are based on Audience, right? I guess this is it for DON'T...not even top twenty...wow...not since When You Kiss Me... I guess her ballads really underwhelm...

You might as well just leave and stop wasting your own time! You have nothing to gain by constantly bashing Shania out of jealousy.

Is Don't still not being played by KZLA?
I remember they played When You Kiss Me and Ka-ching, but I clearly remember the dj's complaining about the audience being indifferent.
Don't will probably find some life on AC, but I don't think it will go top ten there either.
DON't was the wrong song to release to Country Radio since it's basically an AC ballad with no traces of country...

I wanted to tell you, not let Francine, that "Don't!" has peaked at #24 on Billboard. Today, it slips more to #26 on Mediabase.
The song debuted #29 on AC BB, and #31 on R&R AC this week.

SHANIA TWAIN Don't! 26 (down from 23) 1262 Spins (Down from 1422) 9.514 audience impressions (down from 9837)
Four songs have passed DON'T today... I am still shocked that a Shania song didn't even reach the Top Twenty...this is the 4 rth time in the last 3 years.

It looks like another song will pass "Don't" later today. Blake Shelton's "Goodbye Time" already has a higher number of spins and a larger Audience Impression than "Don't" Four songs have passed DON'T today...

I don't know the rules for a song and going recurrent, but, somebody needs to put "Don't" out of it's misery..... it's an embarassment. I saw that too. DON'T will soon be put in the recurrent category.

The song is not even bad in a "WOAh, what a trainwreck" kinda way...(like The Woman In Me or You're Still The One were) that would at least make it somewhat of a novelty. It's just mediocre, unmemorable. A generic ballad that her flimsy voice makes even more indistinct.
Did she injure her vocal chords recently? Cuz on the three new songs from the GH, her normally weak instrument sounds particularly colorless and ragged...

Oh.... I don't know??? In my opinion (for what it's worth) it's in the editing. It doesn't take a keen ear to notice that her voice on all of her latest releases is very heavily computer enhanced. Did she injure her vocal chords recently? .

A year and a half of touring with a cold will do that. No one seems to believe me and I'm sure it's another argument that will lead to the locking of this thread but who cares? I'm throwing out the truth... Time for the next single!

The Woman In Me and You're Still The One "trainwrecks"? :o Lmao, Seriously....you have just completely drained the VERY LITTLE credability you once had! You clearly don't know anything about music if you think those songs are even REMOTELY bad! You're Still The One is one of the greatest love songs ever written, it is a masterpiece! ;)
