When I saw how well Partners was holding up on iTunes at full price, I knew her drop wouldn't be much

I wonder if CtC's 10k from HSN will be a deciding factor?

Fantastic hold for Barbra. Wouldn't be surprised if she blocked them both.

I wonder if Hits is trolling and C2C was going to be #1 the whole time?

TIGHT AS A GNAT'S TUCHUS: In what’s shaping up to be tightest Top 3 in a while, today there is no clear winner for #1 on next week’s album chart—apart from Columbia, that is. New releases from Kenny Chesney (Blue Chair/Columbia Nashville), Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga (Streamline/Columbia/Interscope) and, in its second week, the latest from Barbra Streisand (Columbia) now all appear headed to the 120-125k range. That last time the Top 3 albums brought in sales greater than 120k each was the week ending 12/29/13. (9/26a)

I will be angry if Tony and Gaga pass Kenny but lose to Barbra. >:( Just bought Cheek to Cheek, though, so did my part.

Streisand is killing it - her predictions have gone up just since yesterday. The weekend will give her a leg up.
If she keeps going at this pace, she could be platinum by the end of the year.

At 120k, that would be less than a 40% drop from Barbra! That's amazing!

Like last week the 'trending' only keeps going up for Babs. She did stellar promo and the album is def. getting raves (media and esp. word of mouth!). Gut is telling me #1 won't be Bennett/Gaga. More between Kenny and Barbra lol

www.billboard.com/articles/columns/chart-beat/6266533/barbra-streisand-lady-gaga-kenny-chesney-chart-raceIt's a Three-Way Race for No. 1 on Billboard 200By Keith Caulfield | September 26, 2014 7:45 PM EDT Kenny Chesney, Barbra Streisand and Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga are battling for No. 1 Two days ago, on Sept. 24, it seemed like Kenny Chesney's new The Big Revival album was likely heading for No. 1 on next week's Billboard 200 chart. But now, he's in a dead heat with Barbra Streisand's current No. 1 champ, Partners. And not too far behind both of them: Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga with their duets album, Cheek to Cheek. Industry forecasters suggest Chesney and Streisand's new albums may sell around 125,000 each in the week ending Sept. 28, while Bennett and Gaga are aiming for 120,000. Any one of the three albums may come out on top. The Billboard 200's new top 10 will be revealed on Wednesday, Oct. 1. Also aiming for debuts in the top 10: alt-J's This Is All Yours (with around 60,000), Pentatonix's PTX, Vol. III (45,000) and possibly Joe Bonamassa's Different Shades of Blue (25,000). A wild card in the mix is Thom Yorke's new surprise album, Tomorrow's Modern Boxes, which was released on Sept. 26. It's too early to tell if sales of the album will be reported to Nielsen SoundScan, which compiles data that powers Billboard's sales charts.

C2C discounted for the weekend on Amazon. LOL. SMH What did they discount it to? Because Kenny's album (digital) is discounted to $5.99 right now on Amazon as well.

Oh, didn't know Kenny's album was also being discounted 'cause I was about to say what 'many others' are saying about GaGa on many other boards. Things that aren't flattering ("desperate-esque" kinds of things) ;). Gut is telling me-like Billboard said- ultimately, I think it's actually going to be between Babs and Kenny. I see Gaga/Bennett as more frontloaded but Barbra as the kind of the album that has only continued to grow as the week goes on (2 weeks now). Word of mouth is obviously doing the trick and think I read there's even Grammy talk. Amazing a 72 year old woman/legend like this is still slaying it (and have one of the smallest 2nd week drops that I can remember)! lol

This 3 way race is exciting. I just wish the sales total was...
Can Blake Shelton shake us out of these doldrums next week?

I will be angry if Tony and Gaga pass Kenny but lose to Barbra. >:( Just bought Cheek to Cheek, though, so did my part. Here's the irony - I bet there is a lot of cross-over in terms of potential customers between TB/BS - so TB releasing soon probably resulted in more BS purchases.

Just curious- how did Barbra get such good first and second week sales? It's really quite remarkable, especially at this stage of her career.
