Side note: Why is "Ex's and Oh's" bolded? Isn't the bold thing for songs that climb or is this an exception for being the current track with most weeks atop? Yeah that was a mistake. My attention to detail is not my strongest quality.

Chart Notes: - Uma Thurman is not the first song to hit #1 on my chart that doubles as the name of an actress. In April of 2002, "Sophia Loren" by New Wet Kojak held the top spot for three weeks. It was one of only two songs to feature a male lead that hit number one between December 2001 and October 2002.
- While there are three songs that make a four position jump this week, Beck is the highest ranked to do it, earning him a second Biggest Jump Award.
- I am in the midst of creating my Halloween Playlist, and that usually skews the chart in October. Look out for Ghosts and Monsters soon!
Our retro chart is 2006, and the Scissor Sisters were in the midst of f #1 run. It ended up being the #2 song for the year. Shooter is Lil Wayne's only #1 as a lead. He would later hit #1 being featured on 2011's Dedication to my Ex, and this year's Truffle Butter. Robin, of course, hit #1 in 2013 with Blurred Lines. He hasn't charted since.

Chart Notes: - The big news on the chart this week is Fifth Harmony's big debut at #7, one of the highest debuts of the year. This is their first song to place on my chart. Worth It came close, but just never quite seemed to make it into the top 20.
- The biggest jump besides that debut is "Ghost Town," which is only the second song by Adam Lambert to make the top 10. He hasn't been in the top since his American Idol take on "Mad World" placed at #4 way back in May 2009. He's the 11th AI contestant to nab a second top ten following Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson, Josh Gracin, Carrie Underwood, Daughtry, Blake Lewis, David Cook, Haley Reinhart, Elliot Yamin, and Kris Allen.
- Martin Garrix makes his fourth appearance in the top ten following "Animals," "Wizard," and "Gold Skies"
2007 is up this week. Beck would make an appearance with Sia early the following year, but then wouldn't make the chart until his current song "Dreams," which makes a nice move to #2 this week. 2015 would also see a song called Timebomb by Tove Lo impact my charts! One of my all time favorite songs, Seven Day Fool, was at #2 this week, following 2 weeks at #1 in September of that year.

Chart Notes: - The first person to be born in the 1980s to hit #1 on my chart was Monica way back in 1998 when "The Boy Is Mine" was huge. It would be a long time before anyone born in the 1990s would hit #1, and that honor would go to Kimbra in 2012, featured on "Somebody That I Used to Know" Lorde was the first to do it as lead when she hit #1 with "Royals" about two years ago. Since then, we've had Ariana and Iggy joining up for Problem, Sam Feldt on "Bloesem," the lead singer for Years & Years, and features from WIll HEard & Anne-Marie. The list is growing. And while it's no guarantee, it looks like Fifth Harmony is about to join them, as they would become the first group of all 90s kid members. They move into the top 5 this week.
- 2013 was a year in which three bands spent at least 4 weeks at #1 (and for good measure, Muse had a three-week run). The last of these was Daft Punk's "Get Lucky" in May/June of that year. Since then, no band has made four weeks at the top until now.
- Macklemore & Ryan Lewis nab their 4th top ten, following Thrift Shop and Can't Hold Us (both #1) and Same Love (#3). (And yes, I realize there's five million other people credited on Downtown, but I don't have time for that.)
Ah, October 2008, when the country was plunged into a recession, and Obama started to make some big moves in the polls. For me, it was all about Love as Michael Franti spent his last week at #1 (the song wouldn't break through to the Hot 100 until many months after). My Apocalypse made a surprise jump to #1 the following week as it got some major Halloween play, and then disappeared shortly after that. Pink's So What had hit #1 a few weeks earlier, and remains one of only two of her songs to hit #1 (the other being "Trouble," also a one week #1) on my chart.

You get Rumour Mill going back the right direction, Pop.
4 weeks for Uma? I got her as far as #2, but couldn't pull the trigger.
Nice to see SOB on there, though. I'll have to put that one on next week.
Good chart.

Chart Notes: - "Uma Thurman" becomes the second song this year to spend five weeks at #1. Truffle Butter did this past winter. The last time a band was #1 for five weeks was when the Noisettes' "That Girl" nabbed a fifth week in March of 2013.
- Drake makes his third appearance on the chart this year, following his feature in Truffle Butter, and solo on Energy.
- The Weeknd has his fourth top ten as The Hills becomes this week's biggest jumper.
October 2009 has one of my favorite charts ever. No You Girls is still one of my all-time favorite songs, and was a second chart topper for Franz Ferdinand, who's topped the list with Take Me Out years earlier. You can see my Halloween playlist affecting the top 5 as Skeletons and Boom both made appearances. Boom had been used in trailers for the short-lived show "Eastwick."

Chart Notes: - Well, hello, Adele! Adele makes a huge debut at #2, and is the first artist to do so since... Adele herself! Adele debuted at #2 with Skyfall almost exactly three years ago. It ended up being held out of #1 by "Cruise" (Florida-Georgia Line). This is Adele's 4th song to debut in the top 3 (Rolling in the Deep and Turning Tables both debuted at #3), and her 10th top ten overall. Adele first hit the top ten back in May of 2009 with "Right as Rain," following her appearance in Ugly Betty!
- Almost any other week this year, I think Adele would have debuted at #1, but there was no denying this year's Halloween #1. With two members born in 1997, they are the most recently born to hit #1 on my chart. Lorde held that position previously. Enjoy it while you can girls, there's an actual sales monster breathing down your neck!
- Further down the chart, Gwen Stefani makes a debut as well - it's her fourth song to chart within the last year following her #1 Baby Don't Lie, Spark the Fire, and being featured on Eminem's "Kings Never Die." Hmm, I just noticed I didn't extend the debut color across the whole row. Oops!
The Halloween playlist of October 2010 might have been my strongest ever as far as my chart goes. Each of these songs has been a permanent fixture in my annual list since. Nightmare would get an additional week at #1 before "Barbra Streisand" by Duck Sauce would come out of nowhere to dominate the rest of the year.
