Asereje would FINALLY hit #1 on my chart April 2003. Before that, Mariah's Through the Rain and Elvis/JXL Conversation were #1 with me in 2003. After Ketchup, oldies began their long rule at the top of my chart (Remember Paul Parker's 1982 club hit Right on Target?)

Love the new peaks for "Firestone" and "Beggin' For Thread"!
That 2003 top 5 is smashing. "Gossip Folks" stays one of my faves from Missy.

Chart notes: - Is it cheating to include the Hozier/Annie Lennox medley? Whatever, it's my chart and Lennox slayed. I like the live version more than the original single (for both) Take Me to Church had been on the edge of being in the chart for a long time, but never seemed to quite make it. He should have asked Annie sooner! Anyhow, the medley is highest debut of the year so far.
- Madonna nabs an 18th top ten on the chart. She last hit the top ten with "Turn Up the Radio," which hit #2 in September 2012.
- Truffle Butter slides it's way to #1, becoming the 2nd #1 for Nicki, who has charted 15 times. It is the 3rd #1 for Lil Wayne, who charted as a lead with "Shooter" in 2006, and as a featured artists with Lloyd's "Dedication to my Ex" in 2011. It's the first time on top for Drake.
Top five songs this week in 2004. Kelly Rowland slayed with her song from the Julia Roberts vehicle "Mona Lisa Smile." Rowland's song spent only 2 weeks at #1, but would camp out at #2 for six weeks once The Darkness toppled her the following week.

Sam Hunt falling is a shame. :( But yay for "Truffle Butter" at #1 and rises for "Heartbeat Song," "Living for Love," and "Love Me Like You Do."

I've charted live performances from the Grammys before, though usually only if they'd been accessible as a recording I could listen back to whenever (Gaga and Elton hit #2 on my chart with Poker Face/Speechless/Your Song). I suppose with YouTube and Vevo, it's possible regardless of whether it's officially made available or not.

P.S. oooooooooooh the claw! The claw decides who will go and who will stay! Sam Hunt falling is a shame. :( But yay for "Truffle Butter" at #1 and rises for "Heartbeat Song," "Living for Love," and "Love Me Like You Do." I know. :( I feel bad because it's been years since a country song hit #1. I need to rectify that! Yay! Validation! I wish they would release that recording!

Chart notes: Sam Hunt becomes the first "country" artist to move to #2 in over four years - "Pray For You" from Jaron and the Long Road to Love peaked at #2 in July of 2010. Looks like I missed that Cruise went to #1 back in October of 2012, so it hasn't been quite as long since a country song hit the top two as I thought. It isn't the remix with Nelly (in fact, I think this regular version hit #1 on my chart months before that remix was released).

The last country song to do well on my chart was prob Stuck Like Glue by Sugarland lol (unless you count We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together as country).
Nice to see Banks doing well! :)

So glad to see "Truffle Butter" at no. 1. Hopefully "Heartbeat Song", "Living For Love", "Love Me Like You Do", "Beggin' For Thread", and "Uptown Funk" can keep rising. I also really enjoy the debut of "Take Me To Church/I Put A Spell On You". Fantastic chart, Popstop! :) Oh, and my last country no. 1 was "Two Black Cadillacs" if I'm not mistaken.

Uptown Funk has pretty much run its course on the chart. It was #1 for three weeks in Nov/Dec. The others though could still move up. :)
