This is a good song, but do you think it will do as good as Tim McGraw? Well it looks like this song is flopping already.. Can't say I'm surprised. I knew that Taylor would have just one hit only ever since I saw the video for Tim McGraw. She's completely unoriginal, just a copy of past artists. I think radio's gonna get sick of her real fast. All I can say is, move over Taylor, you're out of your league. Teardrops On My Guitar doesn't even come close to being as powerfully moving as some of the other songs moving up the chart. Since everyone is so open to hating on Kellie. I'm gonna watch in happiness as Taylor Swift flops her way off the mediabase charts.  Taylor's song sucks, and all the radio people who play her songs don't understand what they mean anyway. Her song already has a video out AND went for adds, and its several spots behind Kellie's! Kellie's just more fun and just way better than Taylor pig nose Swift. Teardrops On My Guitar is a good song, but her vocals are forgettable. That's why I don't think it's going to do very well. No, I'm not picking on anybody. I'm stating my opinion that I feel Teardrops is not vocally amazing and it won't do very well.I like Taylor's song but I don't think it will outdo Tim Mcgraw. She's completely mundane. Un-be-lievable. Just one question: Do you have multiple personality disorder? |

It also should showcase another dimension/style to Taylor's singing. That's pretty much why I don't want "Our Song" as the next single. It's a good song, but I don't think it shows her different "dimension" of singing. The lyrics may be different and the beat may be faster, but I still think it runs together with the last two. Which I guess doesn't make much sense re-reading this. *scratches head, shrugs* I also don't think that her voice particularly shines on OS either. There's just those couple words that come through a little 'squeaky' to me. PTB is not her best either, I'll admit, but I'd argue that "Should've Said No" is up in the area of "showing off her voice" while still keeping it upbeat, country, and different from her previous singles. I guess I'm just mad they chose this OS for a third single. O well. |

I think "Picture To Burn" or "Should've Said No" would be better 3rd singles but by no means is "Our Song" a bad single. It should be another top 10 hit for her!!!

Interesting that that one voice person has not come back to admit that they were wrong about the song. Also, I kind of like the song "The Outside", why couldn't that be a single? It's a great song. It won't, but i still like it.

That's a good song too, but now that they are releasing OS as the 3rd, I really believe they need to choose SSN or PTB for the 4th single.

I did a Google search to see if you have an account elsewhere, and your YouTube profile says you're 49 years old. If you're really that old, I feel sorry for you. I can only hope that you're a teenager who has nothing better to do... And hopefully enough people PM'ed the admins/mods when you went on your swearing rampage so they know you deleted posts. Does anyone think this can get #1? Assuming the label realizes it has to hold up the new single for awhile, I'll give this a 30% chance to get to the top -- more if Chesney's song stops gaining, the way it has the last few days. I've always considered it a likely #2 song so it isn't much of a change to imagine it as #1. |

Chesney's song is running out of steam MUCH faster than I thought; I've conceded him at least three weeks at #1 at Country Aircheck/Mediabase, but week #4 is a rather iffy proposition right now.
But 'TOMG' has to be running out of gas at an ever quicker rate, but if she doesn't get KC out of the #1 slot, he'll get that 4th week on top, which should translate to a top-twenty finish on the year-end charts.

I already said this in another thread, but I think it's too early to say that Kenny is on his way down. His spin bullet is only -50, and that's really not a significant loss considering he has over 4500 spins. We should be able to tell in the next 2-3 days if he's really heading down. |

Wow... my guess is that "onevoice20" simply doesn't recognize a hit when it smacks her in the face... either that or she's just jealous that Tay's been a tad more successful than KP so far. I heard "Teardrops" on the radio for the first time about six months ago on KKGO (Go Country 105) here in L.A. and I actually stayed in the car and listened to the whole song on my way back from the gym - sat in my driveway like two minutes just to hear it finish. I was THAT blown away by it on the first listen!!! |

For that poster to state that 'TOMG' 'is already flopping' on March 7th was indefensibly stupid; the nation's PDs are simply too scared and intimidated to start playing the second single by a brand new artist as if it were the latest from McGraw or Chesney, even a song as exceptional as this one.
They weren't about to get 'All Jacked Up' about duplicating their overreaction to that bombastic tune.
I also agree with 'John....' (as I usually do) that 'I Wonder' should be in the top ten by now, as it is another exceptional single that should be much higher on the charts.

so by this chart Taylor has the #2 song on country radio and hopefully by Sunday might have the #1! that would be awesome!
