Wow! This is really good. Also, it was chosen as the Hottest Record by Annie Mac today.

Top 50 on Alternative: 0 49 MUSE Psycho 148 0 148 0.71 In that case...moving this over. :) (Well, due to this and the fact that several posts in the "Dead Inside" thread probably should've been in here. )

Like I said. This song is bound to smash on both Alt and Active...and may I add; Rightfully so.

Is this similar to "United States of Eurasia?" Did that chart prior to "Uprising?"

Is this similar to "United States of Eurasia?" Did that chart prior to "Uprising?" I don't believe so. It's more similar to "Survival", which reached around #39 before "Madness" was released last era. However, I'm hoping this can get a week in at Billboard before "Dead Inside" gets released. (I'm a sucker for Billboard chart positions. )

Cody I'm not gonna completely agree with you, but realistically won't disagree either. I am; however, sure it will return at some point.

This song is good enough to be a lead single but I can't see it going far if "Dead Inside" is right there behind it.

So it's already taking off on Alternative, at #45, I think this is too loud for Alt (LOL) but Foo Fighters did awesome so yeah, I hope it hits the top 10 at least...

First time their buzz single has gone top 40 on alternative methinks.

First time their buzz single has gone top 40 on alternative methinks. "Survival" reached #39 on Alternative, lol. But it never charted on Billboard, and its bullet was already sharply decreasing.

"Survival" was not fortunate enough to finish a week in the top 40 for an 'official' update; it had a couple weeks at #41, but since you mention this (I wasn't aware it had ever cracked the top 40 at any point), I will gladly qualify it as a top 40 hit by personal preference, in the same way I qualified AFI's "A Deep Slow Panic" last year and Shiny Toy Guns' "Somewhere to Hide" in 2013 as top 50 hits. :). Anyway, love this track and I hope this and "Dead Inside" both spend 19 weeks at #1. .

This song is awesome. I hope this blocks the "Dead Inside" monstrosity from number one.

haha! I like That. 20 weeks is more like it, if you want it to break the "Madness" record.

both if the singles are very different but awesome in their own right! Dead Inside will chart higher but I'm thinking Psycho goes top 20

I wish they'd push this to active...only problem is I'm sure it'd fall victim to the Linkin Park effect and half the panel would just play "Dead Inside" instead.

They should have sent this as the second single maybe. Alt will probably hang on to Dead Inside forever but this would have had a hot at the harder formats maybe. I prefer this to Dead Inside though.

Jeez, stations are still spinning this? Thought both formats would be focusing pretty much only on "Dead Inside" now.

Muse is far from being one of the first acts that come to mind when I think of Active Rock, or one of the first 500 acts for that matter...but "Dead Inside" is much more of a part of that reason than "Psycho", obviously. If I had a career going in radio programming and was stuck in charge of an Active Rock station against my will (not an uncommon circumstance, one would think), I'd be spinning the f*** out of a song like "Psycho" there.

Agreed 100% I'd also spin Stolen Dance for the laughs.

Eh, I only said what I said because it looks like "Dead Inside" will still be their biggest hit on Active so far, even if "Psycho" sounds more Active friendly. Also, I wouldn't mind being in charge of an Active station. ;)
