The assumption is from things I remember reading back during 09 where radio flat our refused to play the song because it was about rough sex. And I still maintain that had Britney or Justin Timberlake released that song it would have been a smash hit. The song is actually very good IMO and I know several people who are non-fans who still say that's the best song he has put out. If WWFM was always the intended single and plan from RCA, why even bother with FYE? why spend the money on the video? I'm curious where you gets your facts from? do you have inside information that you're privy too that the rest of us don't? I would appreciate you not presuming to know why I mentioned Sam Smith. I looked at their play list and he was the most obvious one missing. Sam couldn't pull off a song like FYE in a million years LOL Nothing you have said so far is based on anything other than your opinion, unless you have the receipts that prove your opinion is fact of course, which I would love to see if you do. Where did you read this? Where is the proof other than speculation among fans on their fansites. Did Adam say this? Did this come from RCA on why they stop promoting it? If Britny thought FYE was a smash waiting to happen she would have recorded it since the song was intended for her. She rejected it. Adam could never make that song work live because it wasn't written for him in mind. Because Adam/19R wanted FYE the song released. It was the song he wanted to perform for the AMAs. WWFM was the single RCA had on their site as the first single with a release date. Fans found it and screencapped it. That is how we knew WWFM was the song they intended to release first. When fans asked RCAEd on AO why isn't the single being announced RCAEd said because RCA and Adam and his people couldn't decide what single to choose. RCA than removed the WWFM posting on their site a week later and Adam announce fYE. There was no harm making a video for FYE since the song was going to be pushed internationally. While WWFM was charting here in the US, FYE was being played overseas. Adam had several different songs charting at different times in different countries during era 1. So the song and video wasn't a total waste. Neither could Adam. LOL. The AMAs proved it. LOL. It was amateurish but hilarious because I LMAO. Out of all the artists not on their playlist which was pointed out to you, Sam Smith would be the one you would seek out? Someone who has had a huge era with several hits? Trying to connect the dots between Adam and Sam is what led someone to think that maybe the station was homophobic. That person has since said he based it on wrong facts given to him. It's those erroneous assumptions that has led to this discussion. It's once again putting out there misinformation based on no facts. Neither do you. You can't prove to me that FYE stopped being promoted because radio was homophobic. The song was the problem. It wasn't a good song for radio. Just like any song that doesn't get played. Radio wasn't buying Adam being the next Britny or Gaga. lol. WWFM was just the type of song radio and the public expected from Adam. Adam than went back to an OTT theatrical song "If I had You" for his 3rd single which also went nowhere on radio. Was that homophobic too? Did that had rough sex lyrics? Neither FYE or TSP albums had songs waiting to smash. The albums were good and had some good songs but the smash hits weren't there. I know this is hard for some fans to hear. There is a reason why Adam went back to Max Martin because he knows how to make hit songs that the public wants to hear. I'm not sure why you seem so combative, but I'm not here to argue with anyone. You have your opinion and I have mine. Enjoy your day.

I agree. It's doing enough right now to keep him in people's minds leading up the release of his album. Hopefully once the album promo starts, sales will pick up for the single a bit and it can make its way to the Hot 100.

This song deserves to be a hit. I Wanna get into his music, what songs should i listen to? I only heard this and What Do You Want From Me. Kind of depends on what kind of music you like. He's done a lot of different kinds of stuff. "Shady" off of the "Trespassing" album has Nile Rodgers on guitar, "Trespassing" & "Kickin In" were written with Pharrell Williams.

This song deserves to be a hit. I Wanna get into his music, what songs should i listen to? I only heard this and What Do You Want From Me. I don’t really know what to recommend, because he has lots of great songs. Personally I love pretty much everything on Trespassing. I only recently discovered his music after hearing Ghost Town, and I’ve been listening to his previous albums while waiting for the Original High. Both albums are really good, but I especially love Trespassing. My favourite songs from that album include Runnin’, Chokehold, Shady and Outlaws of Love, but like I said, I really love that album as a whole. It’s one of the very few albums where I like every song. I’m really glad to see that Ghost Town is off to a promising start on the radio. I think it’s an amazing song, and imo it absolutely deserves to be a real hit!

For new fans who may be looking at his discography, "Take One" was demo's released by a producer he did session work for in order to capitalize on his Idol fame. Also "Beg For Mercy" was songs written and recorded by Citizen Vein, the failed band from before Idol including Madonna's guitarist Monte Pittman. That was also released without his approval. The ones that are truly official releases are "For Your Entertainment", debut album after Idol and "Trespassing", second studio album after Idol.

Finland is the capital of Glambert Nation LOL Well, even before the extramusical things that linked him to Findland, there's something in the way he sings that appeal a lot to Findlands. They are quite special, probably the country were hard rock is more appreciated. Adam is not a hard rock singer but he has that way of hitting the big notes, that screaming that all his detractors mention, that finish people really really like

It's interesting to note that with Ghost Town, Adam Lambert becomes only the third Idol alumni reaching the top 40 Pop with two album eras, following on the footsteps of Kelly Clarkson, Daughtry and Jordin Sparks. Adam does it with his 3rd era though, something only Kelly has done. Of course his success hasn't reached the heights of Daughtry or Jordin, but it's still good to see him having some sort of unexpected longevity.
