Clearly now "Shut Up And Dance" is the "Radioactive" of 2015 #slay since the beginning of the year I was hoping for it to become a sleeper hit and smash and I'm so glad it is finally doing just that

I don't get the connection to "Radioactive". If it abut longevity then Shut Up and Dance would be the Rdioactive of 2016 or 2017? As far as genre, this may be tagged as Alternative but to me it sounds like a Dance song

As far as genre, this may be tagged as Alternative but to me it sounds like a Dance song Genre is part of it (it reached #1 on the alternative radio format, therefore it must have sufficient alternative components) but what I was referring more to was the fact that it is a sleeper hit just like Radioactive which crossed over to pop and both are rather unexpected hits and they will both surely be top five hits and quite possibly top ten on the year-end chart (I can see it happening). If you wish, you can refer to it as the "Somebody That I Used To Know" of 2015, although STIUTK reached #1 but we don't know yet if SUAD will pull that off as well (hopefully it does!) although it is extremely unlikely for SUAD to be #1 year-end as STIUTK was.

Just saw Fast & Furious, See You Again's success now all makes sense. Saw it today finally and I agree. Definitely easy to see why it's selling so well. Sorry I missed this past week's official dethroning. Was on a little vay-cay. Congrats to all those who predicted it having a huge lead over UF. You guys were right. Unfortunately for UF, SYA doesn't look like it will be budging from the top anytime soon. Can't believe UF will be another 14 weeker after all. The 14 week #1 curse is officially real!

"UF" seems to have had bigger drops since "SYA" took over on the Hot 100.

"UF" seems to have had bigger drops since "SYA" took over on the Hot 100. Because it's knocked from #1 in BBH100. As simple as that, to be honest. UF's soft drop in radio previously is because of it still being practically the biggest thing in US. But now, with SYA blowing up like an atomic bomb, it's as if people realize how annoying it was actually after 3 months of overplay. Of course, the latter is just a theory because I don't know about UF's callout scores after SYA blowing up, but I wouldn't be surprised if UF's callout score dropped like stone

Does anyone think One Last Time can go higher than 15? Eh...I'd like to see it happen, but I wouldn't hold my breath. - It fell No. 21 -> No. 25 on the last Streaming Songs chart, having peaked at No. 17 - It's currently No. 25 on iTunes Overall airplay gains are still solid, but if it keeps dropping on the other two components, I can't imagine it'll go much higher - unless she has a performance coming up? MAYBE if 45S falls faster (which doesn't seem too likely, since 45S is still ahead on iTunes and was much higher on the last Streaming Songs chart.) "Chains" might be more likely to drop, actually, since its airplay has slowed down and it wasn't even ON the last Streaming Songs chart, so its only advantage over OLT is in sales (currently No. 13 on iTunes.)

MTV keeps posting the JB + Ariana I Really Like You video on Facebook, surprised it only has 3 million views..

Wow so it looks like any of Sugar, LMLYD or Earned It could be the next airplay #1...such a tight race!

Stupid question time: Can Epic give Mariah Carey a #1 debut with Infinity? No. Even if they got her the biggest possible Clear Channel radio deal (which I think is 3 days? or have some gone a full week?), there's no way she'll get enough sales and streaming. I don't think she has ANY TV promo planned for its release week (April 27) - though it's not like a slot on The Voice would do the trick anyway. She hasn't gone to No. 1 since '08. She hasn't debuted at No. 1 since '97. She won't be toppling SYA. I'll shed tears of joy if she debuts inside the Top 40.
