I have a question, will "Lean On" by Major Lazer do well on the charts because it does have a summer feel, can anyone answer me that? I have to presume it is streaming that is causing it to do so well right now. The next time I hear the song on radio will be the first. Sales are decent, but not top 3. But provided it can separate itself from You Know You Want It and gain some airplay, I think Lean On could potentially break out into the top 10. Once you hear it, it's pretty catchy and MO should be proud that this song will do more for her than working with Iggy on Beg for It. And yes, I like the song as well.

Is there a song that has spent at least a week in all positions in the top 10?

How could I forget lol There may not necessarily be a fifth single from 1989... You are also forgetting one very important woman. Her majesty will not be pleased! And while it's not exactly the same 1st, 2nd, and 4th singles pattern, Janet's Rhythm Nation had an amazing run of singles from '89-'91. Peaks, in order: 1-2-1-4-2-1-1 and then an 8th single reached #5 on the airplay chart. Hitting #1 with a seventh single, with no re-release? A feat never duplicated.

Is there a song that has spent at least a week in all positions in the top 10? Someone had asked this question a while back. I believe "Buy U A Drank" by T-Pain had spent at least one week at every position in the top 10 during its chart run. If there are any others, I can't think of any at the moment.

I think both Honey I'm Good and Hey Mama will fight for the the top 10 today I think both get on there this week. Along with Bad Blood. If there's room for a fourth, it's either Talking Body or You Know You Like It (DJ Snake with Aluna George).

So I presume Nasty Freestyle, GDFR and TOL will be the ones out of top ten this week, and possibly LMLYD too EDIT: I realized it would be LMLYD, not Sugar, to leave this week should a fourth song enter Uptown Funk will spend a 26th consecutive week in the top 10, the most (consecutive weeks) I'm guessing since Smooth! SLAY

You're the one that have the data... But I'm lazy lol . I was just thinking that there could be someone in here who knows. If it had made that 1 week at #1, Counting Stars would've done it as well :'( I was about to call you the biggest flop stan in history until I realized CS was missing the most important position lol It's very interesting how so many songs like the aforementioned Party Rock Anthem were missing just one of the ten positions and that as a result, almost no songs actually achieved the feat :O

I can't wait for Cheerleader to be the summer smash of the year to make up for the awful Honey I'm Home actually being a hit. Both may be terrible in their own ways but I love Cheerleader and after the drought of Uptown Funk, I'm ready for a #1 I can be excited over.

Prediction:
1. Bad Blood (10% lead) 2. See You Again 3. Trap Queen 4. Shut Up And Dance 5. Earned It 6. Want To Want Me 7. Uptown Funk 8. Hey Mama 9. Sugar 10. Honey, I'm Good. (Would be higher but it's nowhere to be found on last week's Streaming Songs chart).
WTWM might be higher than EI, which would give Jason his 4th top 5 if I'm not mistaken.
11. Love Me Like You Do 12. You Know You Like It 13. Thinking Out Loud 14. Talking Body 15. Nasty Freestyle
EDIT: sorry for double post
SECOND EDIT: swapped 8 and 9 because I realized that the video for Hey Mama came out at the beginning of the tracking week

seeing that run for "truly madly deeply" makes me wonder how much longer it would have lasted if billboard didn't change their formula

You are also forgetting one very important woman. Her majesty will not be pleased! Ah, yes, it appeared Madonna did it as well with the True Blue album in 1986. Live to Tell #1 Papa Don't Preach #1 True Blue #3 Open Your Heart #1 It seems that this may be a more common phenomenon than originally though, haha! Edit: Oh, it also appears the Mariah Carey kinda sorta, but not really did it with the Daydream album. "Open Arms" technically came in between the number one smashes "One Sweet Day" and "Always Be My Baby," though "Open Arms" never got the full single treatment in the US. So, really, she didn't, but kind of, she did, but not really. How come you all forgot Christina Aguilera Her debut era: Genie #1 What a Girl Wants #1 I Turn To You #3 Come On Over #1 :)

ThinkingOutLoud- I'd be more inclined to say one of the biggest "eras"- not many errors made with this album. ;)

Wow Down grew fast and died really fast, too Yes and no. It did blast into the top 10 rapidly and then (relatively) quickly feel from the top to the bottom of the top 10. But it spent 24 weeks in the top 10 (11 weeks after peaking at #1), can't really say it died quickly.

I meant when it was dying, it was quick (e.g. Chandelier fell slowly, around half its run, while The Hanging Tree and The Heart Wants What It Wants both collapsed) If radio could pick up a bit more pace and sales hold, I wonder if Worth It has a chance of top 10 next week. Does anyone think Elastic Heart has a chance of going top 20 again, or higher?

That's pretty abnormal. I remember it was mentioned in a previous thread that Lose Yourself, One Sweet Day, and I think I Will Always Love You spent more than half of their respective chart lives at #1. But that was then; songs on average had muuuch less longevity than in 2009. As an artist though Jay Sean had pretty much no longevity lmao his top ten hits spanned over like 6 months. Haven't heard anything from the guy in a while.

I heard something about him switching labels and then he just disappeared from the spotlight

I heard something about him switching labels and then he just disappeared from the spotlight I do remember his second top ten hit (pun not intended lol). It hit the top 10 (for one week IIRC) about 5-6 months after Down hit the top 10 (and I think Down might have even outlasted it in the top ten). Hence why I said that his top ten hits spanned over just a few months. I do remember hearing Hit The Lights in 2011, but that was only because it was on the Hot 100 and I was curious and looked it up myself (never once heard it on radio or anywhere else). Kinda similar to Fareast Movement, whose 15 minutes of fame lasted from about September 2010 (G6) to early 2011 (Rocketeer). Well they got their fair share of profit/popularity so I'm sure they're not upset about it.
