Amazing how interest in the Hot 100 has dipped since the move to Mondays. Is that the reason or is the current chart climate less interesting than the last 10 years?
For me the move to Mondays makes no difference.
I don't know if the interest has waned just here or everywhere. And if it is here, is it due to the Monday thing?
I do know I post a lot fewer charts now (on Tuesday) because no one appears to be reading them
Recurrent one I always read it. |

Don't get how Locked Away is so low...but yay for 679 reaching new peak and especially the jump for Hotline Bling!  it matches the peak of HOWGH (so far...) And of course loving the Canadian domination in the top 4! |

"Stitches" is gaining at a decent pace. I think it will likely snag at least one week in the top as long as its sales don't start to tumble. |

Recurrent one I always read it. Well, I can say for myself that I mostly lost interest in watching the charts since the date change. I used to watch it over the weekdays, but now I sometimes check it on Monday or Tuesday and remember the new chart is already up. There's no exciment anymore. |

I also think that it doesn't help with us going through another period in Hot 100 history of slow moving chart action, and a limited number of really exciting superstar product, and meaningful chart stats.

It seems like Can't Feel My Face is trying so hard to become one of the Top 100 Most Successful Songs of the Decade, And i don't see why this song would be a good enough song to make any Decade-End chart i mean i understand why Earned It would make it but Can't Feel My Face..... CFMF is a song crafted to become a Pop hit. The Weeknd need a song that will send him straight to mainstream success and CFMF did just that. |

"Earned It" owed much of its success to Fifty Shades of Grey, and he could've really gone either way after that imo: continue chasing pop success, or return to his non-commercial sound. But "CFMF" was the song that cemented his pop success. It fell in line with every retro-sounding hit of the past two years, and everything about it screamed Big Hit when it was first released.

I'm pretty sure Earned It did the same thing We can't even be friends! Can't Feel My Face's production is much more genius than Earned It... The beat, catchy tone and all just make "Face" such a high-quality art.. |

Ugh the top 10 lately is starting to become more hip-hop/r&b centric... Reminds of those scary years where radio got stuck in a horrible rut circa 2002-2006.. But now that streaming counts, I don't foresee much change in the near future.
