The goal of every song, not just this one, to make personal decade lists. If the song did that for every person's lists,Β then it would beΒ big hit. I still can't believe this song is more popular than Whistle & Animals that's actually a good thing because both of those songs sucked.

Ugh the top 10 lately is starting to become more hip-hop/r&b centric... Reminds of those scary years where radio got stuck in a horrible rut circa 2002-2006.. But now that streaming counts, I don't foresee much change in the near future. Of course, if Billboard changes the ratio for next chart year, that could change. I still think they need seperate weight for passive v active streaming.

Speaks of The Hills, I found the first 7 seconds of this song (the explosive sounds) really catchy...

R&B and rap songs are doing well on streaming and even on sales so this is not really like the one in the early and mid-2000s when the Hot 100 was basically pure radio airplay with only the random American Idol song reaching the top thanks to sales. Radio airplay is still has a good mix of genres. Thanks to radio Ed Sheeran's Photograph was able to reach top 10

Hotline Bling is likely the next #1 I'd like that. He hasn't had a #1 as a lead role.

Unfortunately between grad school and work, time's been something of an issue which is why my predictions haven't been done of late.
But I do still read the charts, particularly the Bubbling Under and I appreciate those who submit them. And Tuesday is a good day to release the Hot 100 because I'm off of work/school then.

I started to listen to that song the first day it was released (you noticed that my avatar has been The Hills for months?).. What I'm saying is that, when I hit play button today, I was HYPNOTIZED by the first 7 seconds of it like never before..

Pulled off 41/58 on that quiz. For some reason, I drew a blank on that one flashback song I put on my Charts thread.

Excitement is contagious and I haven't felt excited about the Hot 100 since before the change.
