More likely it will be in 22-24M range. PILLOWTALK - 220 - 15 - 20.0 = 42,600 Love Yourself - 105 - 140 - 16.0 = 39,000 But the views are WW. |

It's probably a fairly minor tweak to the formula, so I wouldn't have really expected it to "absolutely kill" Watch Me. The 4th most-listened to song on Youtube should be on the Hot 100 somewhere realistically, but thanks to songs going recurrent after 52 weeks it'll be gone soon anyway.
This change is good because it will help speed up the charts, but streaming is going to increase throughout the year and sales will decrease so by the end of 2016 we'll probably end up with a formula similar to what we had last week (in terms of the relative "strength" of sales and streaming in the chart). Likewise, the chart formula now is probably similar to what we had about 12 months ago.
This is going to help When We Were Young to get a higher peak, but it will hurt Work (it's helping Work now, but later on in its chart run it'll be doing poorly in sales but well in airplay and streaming most likely).
Also, it's going to be more difficult for Don't to go top 10. I guess they could just wait until its airplay is peaking and discount it and it might get in.

This really makes me think that Summer Sixteen will get a top 5 debut. Summer Sixteen will have more sales and more Spotify streams Top-5 for SS is almost locked as well. It might even get #4, beating Sorry, if it has sufficient streaming. Wow. And it's only been 3 months since we had 2 top 5 debuts. |

*pissed* . I'm not knocking Rihanna. I'm mad at BILLBOARD for not crediting Janet on "Diamonds" with Herb Alpert even though that was a Top 10 hit and quite a fun song. That was the labels' fault that they didn't credit Janet. Elton should have another top ten for Bad Blood by that logic. It seems like those days have a number of uncredited features, which certainly benefits Rih. |

I don't think she should, but these days Mariah would probably get a credit on "Everytime I Close My Eyes," which would have given her another top 10 hit.
But even beyond credits, things are so different now. Look at how many of Rihanna's hits are true solo songs versus those of Janet and even Mariah (Mariah bridged that trend, of course).

Janet did ultimately get credit for Diamonds. Had she not, she would only have 26 top 10s. She may not have gotten credited on the original single release, but it still counts in her total.
