Wow, was NO having some radio deal like Work so it could shoot up airplay? That's a big drop.

Alright so I didn't expect the drop for NO to be quite THAT gargantuan. Isn't that a well above average drop for an 8th day effect?

Like streaming, sometimes radio holds on way too long (less than 30% is coming from AC). Obviously, NO will be ahead by tomorrow, but still. On the other hand, as we've tracked streaming with a lot of data for the past few years, people do like to listen to their old favorites - a lot.

Alright so I didn't expect the drop for NO to be quite THAT gargantuan. Isn't that a well above average drop for an 8th day effect? The thing to remember is that NO had an hourly first day deal at pop AND hot adult contemporary radio, which means it had an "8th day effect" at both formats.

Dangerous Woman may drop to #2 right now on iTunes...
7 Years now back on top right now.
How can we say that Dangerous Woman or NO should be a top 10 or top 5?
How will going to do if Youth might be a potential Top 40 since it was Top 10 on iTunes?

I think it would be fairer if the week of radio was the same week that sales and streams (friday-thursday) count for the Hot 100. The current method affect the debut songs, since the airplay of the first 3 days is wasted. On one hand I agree with you - I'd like it if all 3 metrics shared the same tracking period. On the other hand, I actually like how the airplay data from "radio deals" is essentially thrown out the window when it comes to debut weeks on the H100. The songs still get a nice launch going into the tracking week for sales and streaming, but don't benefit from the exaggerated airplay numbers. If anything, this seems more fair to me.

Very good point. I never thought of it that way

On 4/2 I think #3 debut for Ariana More like #30 debut... Its digital is just not commendable, and almost no radio.. And why is it's streaming figure so low as well?

Why is Meghan's Spotify figure so low this week (like, 2.3 M)? Justin Bieber always got more than 10M in his debut weeks and Pillowtalk got like at least 9M. Her fans hate Spotify that much? Woah that's pretty relatable to me

On 4/2 I think #3 debut for Ariana yeah...I don't think so lol. It's already out of #1 on iTunes, and it's only the third day of the tracking week.

I don't see it debuting inside the top 5 without a video for added streaming points. I think it'll have a strong debut - possibly even top 10 - if her streaming audience turns up as it has in the past and sales finish solidly. Top 20 would be a good start for this track, imo.

Ariana has her SNL performance going for her, it's on her VEVO page so it will definitely be set to count to her streaming. I also think most if not all of her streams from that video will be coming from the US (it was geo-restricted here in Australia, probably elsewhere as well).

You can deny it out of sheer will, but the writing's on the wall. It's also by far not the only such example. Hmmm, well, I'm still curious about specific examples, though I realize associated receipts may be tricky. That said, I'm reading through the March 12, 1988 issue of Billboard, and, well, there was a little story that begins on the first page that caught my eye: www.americanradiohistory.com/Archive-Billboard/80s/1988/BB-1988-03-12.pdf

It has been top 2 on iTunes since Friday and the only days it hasn't been #1, it has been extremely close to it. It will more than likely get similar sales to Piece By Piece, more radio and probably more streaming.

Two guys predicting two extremes, neither of which will happen. At present, Dangerous Woman looking at 100-105k sales, 20M airplay and 5M on-demand streams. That's 17-18k points excluding video streams (which won't be much). So it probably won't debut in Top-10, but it would come close.

If Pop is already throwing in the towel, it looks like Something In The Way You Move may not even hit the top 40 on the H100. I didn't think it would become a top 10 or anything, but ouch.
